Mika Yli-Kivistö and I own Tullatuulen kennels.
My goal is competitive Siberian husky as physical contains skeleton,
muscles and maximal oxygen consumption as well as mentally strong desire
to go, easy to handle and healthy headed dogs, making together great
working sleddog. My brood females are Repeka, main stud
Finnemarka´s Brian, also Snowtrail´s Harris through his offspring. I
started with sleddogs 1991 and today the number of dogs is about 50 adults
and 10 to 20 puppies. There is 5-8 litters in my kennel every year, I keep
part of them myself,
part of them will be sold, also couple of adults will be sold every year.
I raced at 90s including Finnish Championships at mid-distances -96 3rd
place in 6-dog class 3 days 50 kilometers each day, the next year -97
Finnish Championships in 6-dog class same distance 2nd place and -98
Karelia Charm open class 2nd place 3 days the distance together was about
After I started drive tourists as professional 1995 the lack of time
forced me to reduce racing - (the dogs are working 5-7 days a week, when
the musher is always working 7 days a week)
At the year 2006 I had have build a raceteam
to Erkki Rantanen, kennel of Endhill´s, He was training and racing with
good results, with successfull positions in
every year and also the best Siberian´s team, open class, all-breed races
in many winters.
Please a contact if you are interested in good sleddogs!
