LUONGASLOMA LOG CABINS
Luongasloma log cabins are located at the brink of Muonio river on a place with natural beauty, between some minor rapids in the river.
They are located some 135 kilometers from Kilpisjärvi towards southeast, and 61 km from Muonio town.
In this quiet place you will find three log cabins each built in 2002. All cabins have two bedrooms for two and loft upstairs for 2 people.
You can find all modern equipment plus sauna in these cabins with a cozy atmosphere.
The location is ideal for those who seek peace from the nature in an unspoiled and uncrowded setting. Around the lot there is a the river scene and Laplandish nature.
In the summer the rush or babble of the stream will help you to sleep. You can also take a swim directly from the sauna.
The distance to the river shore is only 10 meters from the terrace.
Hint for the fishers
The Luongasloma cabins are an excellent spot for fishers.
Salmon is not a rare catch from this river with quite some current.
The best catch this far has been a salmon weighing around 15 kilos.
Well you can always try if you'll be the next record breaker.
There are plenty of other types of fish you can try your luck with.
A smaller river stream from the Swedish side, called Luongasjoki, runs towards Muonio river.
This stream is stocked with grayling.

Hint for game hunters
Small Tarvanto-river which joins Muonio river quite close the cabins - is a devisive line between two hunting grounds.
Both are very good for willow grouse (the bird below) hunting.
