The cat harnesses are only for use with cats which walking on a leash.

As a right-sized harness isn’t easy to squirm out of, they are not suitable for use with cats that run free, since it is possible for the harness to stick in a tree, etc. However, the harness models prevent the cat from choking in situations, such as when lifting, as the weight is distributed evenly along the chest, not to the cat’s neck.

Cats are masters of escape, so it is important that the loop - which goes around the chest - is snug enough and close to the armpits that the cat can’t stick out its elbows through the harness. Cats don’t have any such organs behind theirs front legs that would require the harness to be kept slack. The neck section should and must be loose, so that the harness doesn’t force the cat’s head upwards and putting on and taking off the harness is easier. When taking the harness off, the neck part of the harness should touch the ears. If the neck part is too long, the section which goes around the chest will be positioned too far backwards, whereupon the cat will be able to pull its forelegs through the harness.

The harnesses have only one quick release buckle, which will particularly ease the putting on of the harnesses, for among others, long-haired cats.

The harnesses have a Scotchlite ™ reflective stripe, which - regardless of its appearance - appears bright white from a long distance away.

The harnesses are manufactured from luxury and soft Finnish nappa leather and treated to be water and dirt resistant.
