What is MeHyvät association?

• The name of our association "Me Hyvät" derives from the words MEningomyelocele and HYdrocephalus
• Me Hyvät was founded in 2002 by the own initiative of the spina bifida and hydrocephalus people
• The most important reasons for the founding of Me Hyvät association were the demand for interaction-, information-, guidance-, counselling-, and peer support between spina bifida and hydrocephalus adults in Finland.
• Nowadays in Finland lives about 1000 people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and every year about 25 spina bifida and about 60 hydrocephalus children are born
