I danced Hawaiian hula in my country Japan before I came to Finland in 2009.
When I first time watched Mana 'O Laka's show, I moved to tears and
memories of Hawaii filled up my heart. I was surprised how they are
beautiful and wondered how do they keep wonderful hula so far from the
Islands! I am glad to have the opportunity to keep hula as a member of
Mana 'O Laka.
When I dance hula I feel comfortable winds, smell of flowers, palm
trees, sun shine... and I try to express those feelings by hula. Hula
and music make me content. I learn not only dance but also the spirit
of ALOHA which is kindness, harmony, pleasantness, humility, patience
through practicing hula in this group.
I hope you enjoy watching our
hula and share the precious time with us! E Komo Mai!
