No. 4: Led Zeppelin IV ( 1971)

[Led Zeppelin IV]

Led Zeppelin IV or "The Runes Album" is the best effort by the first, foremost and perhaps even last real HM band ever. After listening to this album I just can't listen to any other so-called HM bands without feeling sorry for the poor bastards who simply can't do it like the masters. Led Zeppelin had it all. A great singer, good musicians, killer riffs ( the riff of Living Loving Maid ( She's Just A Woman) almost makes me wet my pants every time), good and sometimes even painfully beautiful songs, what can I say? HM really should have died with Led Zeppelin, there isn't much that can be done in the genre after this...

Songs:

  1. Black Dog
  2. Rock And Roll
  3. The Battle Of Evermore
  4. Stairway To Heaven
  5. Misty Mountain Hop
  6. Four Sticks
  7. Going To California
  8. When The Levee Breaks
