Music / Favourite Albums
These are my favourite albums from my own collection. I won't review albums that I don't have. Also, these are in alphabetical order by the album names, not performers. This page is still under construction. I'll add more albums whenever I've got the time and/or inspiration. :)

Crosby, Stills & Nash (1969)
by Crosby, Stills & Nash
My rating:

(4 out of 5)
Comments: Crosby, Stills & Nash is the debut album of.. Well, Crosby, Stills & Nash. :) In my opinion this
album catches the sound of the sixties in a timeless way. Each and every song is just undescribably fabulous, though I've
got a few favourites on this album: The opener "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes", "Wooden Ships" and "Long Time Gone". These three
songs are among my all-time favourite songs, probably 'cause I connect them to a decade I wish I'd experienced.

Come Taste The Band (1975)
by Deep Purple
My rating:

(4 out of 5)
Comments: Come Taste The Band is my favourite Deep Purple album, because Tommy Bolin plays the
guitar on it and because it's the best (and most underrated) DP album. I know the album doesn't have that Deep Purple sound
that seems to mean the world to some people. I think the album is definitely a DP album, and the DP sound comes across the
songs, but with a twist. And I think there's nothing wrong with trying something different every once in a while.

Led Zeppelin IV (1971)
by Led Zeppelin
My rating:

(4½ out of 5)
Comments: Do I really need to comment on this album? Hasn't it become obvious enough to everyone that this
album is a classic. All the songs on this album are legendary, though "Stairway To Heaven" might be a bit more known than
for example "Four Sticks". I might piss someone off by saying what I'm about to say, but I think that "Stairway To Heaven"
is totally overrated! Now, don't get me wrong, I love that song, I think it's one of the best ever, but still...
Overrated. Anyway, back to the album: This is my favourite Led Zep album next to II. IV is packed with
fantastic beyond words songs that really rock my world. If you haven't already, you should go out and buy this album!

Nuthin' Fancy (1975)
by Lynyrd Skynyrd
My rating:

(4½ out of 5)
Comments: I love Lynyrd Skynyrd and Nuthin' Fancy is one of my favourite Skynyrd albums. I think the
songs rock from the beginning to the end. From "Saturday Night Special" to "Whiskey Rock-A Roller" this album shows
what makes southern rock so damn good. Also, I think the album cover is absolutely beautiful!

Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere (1980)
by Rossington Collins Band
My rating:

(4 out of 5)
Comments: I think Rossington Collins Band is fantastic, and it's a shame that they only made two albums. Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere is the first of the two.
RCB is like 1980's Lynyrd Skynyrd with a female vocalist. Dale Krantz-Rossington has a great voice that's just right for this type of music, in my opinion. My favourites on
this album are "Don't Misunderstand Me", which to my knowledge was RCB's biggest hit, "Misery Loves Company" and "Sometimes You Can Put It Out".
