Special Attunement:
Eiriel can by singing transmit her feelings and emotions to the listeners. The feelings and emotions thus transmitted do not compel anyone to act upon them, or indeed prevent anyone from doing something they want to do (or make someone do something they don't want to), but the power of the songs is in subtler levels. There is few creatures who wouldn't want to listen to Eiriels song because it is of almost unsurpassed beauty. And the song does leave a sense of the amotion trying to be transmitted, usually joy or gratitude or love and a certain sense of strength that stems from hope. Hope is perhaps the key of Eiriels song, it can raise the hope in even the most disheartened listener, the hope of a better future. Eiriel could probably transmit with this song also the negative emotions, but she has never been known to sing anything more negative than some song of sadness.
Mind you, this is just singing on a mundane level despite it's special effect. Eiriel has mastered some aspects of the symphony. If she could be persuaded to give this attunement to anyone else, there might be some effect to the symphony.

Songs: Many, almost any none-offensive and some offensive ones too (Eiriel has not used those herself, but she does sometimes teach those to others). Many otherwise secret or very rarely used songs (i.e. The Trisagion, Eiriel is the only mercurian trisagionist).

Skills: Singing/6 (of course), several language and knowledge skills. The only thing remotely resembling a combat skill is Dodge/3. Eiriel is not very practical as it is.

Eiriel is a very old angel. Not one of the first angels, but maybe one of the first relievers ever to be created. And from the very first moment of her (Eiriel has always thought of herself as a female) existence she has been admiring the Symphony, the most beautiful song there is. To Eiriel Symphony is the song sung by God, a perfect thing whih beauty and perfection she will never be able to achieve. But the only way she knows how to express her joy of living and hearing the Symphony is by singing. Eiriel has never been good with words, she has always preferred to sing.

Eiriel began her life as one of Creations' relievers, Eli being the first being to sing and teaching all about it to the curious little reliever. And Eiriel continued to listen and try to understand the Symphonyt also after she fledged as a mercurian long before the Fall. She couldn't quite understand, because she knew that the Symphonyt was everything and she could only see it from her own perspective. But still she tried, trying to get new perspectives by listening to angels of other choirs and adding the gathered information to her songs, trying to understand creation through them. It was not easy and she knew she could never hope to achieve perfection, but this was the ony way she knew how to show her respect and awe In the face of the magnificence of the Symphony.

Then came the Fall. Lucifer did come and talk to Eiriel, trying to persuade her to take different path. But Eiriel has never tried to understand the Symphony for any selfish reason, it is just that she quite simply believes that by understanding the Symphony she might be able to help others by understanding them. She just wants to help in her own little way. And it is said, that Eiriel is maybe the only being in the lower heavens, who has never felt any emotion more negative than sadness. It is as if she would be incapable of hatred, envy, jealousy, pride and other such emotions. She does understand those to some extent in others, but Eiriel has been somehow able to preserve some sort of innocence that can only be seen in the youngest relievers and in the souls of children. The Fall did arouse some feeling in Eiriel, a sense of lost innocence and an enormous sense of loss and sadness. She did on tat day sing one of her saddest songs, a song of pure sorrow which made everyone who did hear it weep. But the song had hidden strength as well, a hope that someday, somehow, all would be better again. The Symphony was still there, all would be made better in it's due time and that sense of hope Eiriel has never lost.

So she continued to serve Eli, and contended herself to wait for that joyous day when all the lost brothers and sisters would see the error of their ways and come back. But there were the new choir, the malakites who had been made from anger and frustration and in whose very core there was violence. Eiriel could not understand that. Anger was so frightening an emotion and violence was almost uncomprehensible to her.

The grigori were created shortly after the Fall and one of the first grigori created was one called Zimran. He loved song as much as Eiriel, and they spent lot of time together. But Zimran was more ambitious than Eiriel, he thought he could give more to the Symphony by being a wordbound. And finally Zimran became the Archangel of Song. Eiriel was happy for him, the Word of Song had been first offered to her, but she had declined, thinking herself unsuitable for such a powerful word. And the Seraphim Council could not make her to take a word she didn't want to take.

As soon as Zimran became the Archangel of Song, asked Eiriel Eli to be transferred to Zimran. She wanted to be a full servitor of Song, because the word of song was closer to her own thinking than the word of Creation. Eli tried to keep Eiriel in his service, but at last he had to let her go. Some say, that Eli is still a little bit bitter for that and he has been known to say to Zmran, that if Zimran let's anything happen to Eiriel, Eli will himself come and shoot him. Since Zimran has no intention of letting anything happen to Eiriel, this is unlikely to happen.

Eiriel served Zimran faithfully, and Zimran was able to persuade Eiriel to take the word of singing after approximately 2000 years of persuation. The word only enhanced her ability to sing and to affect others with her singing, and it apparently didn't affect her ability to see the symphony to some extent also from the other Choirs' point of view. Eiriel was quite happy, and she did maintain good relationships with Eli and Novalis.

Then came the problem with the other grigori. Truth to tell, Archangel Zimran himself had never had the time to get involved in the mess that got the grigori outcasted, but many of his grigori servitors did. And Zimran did try to defend them and couldn't defend enough himself. So the grigori, and the grigori archangels were cast out. Eli did come to Eiriel and offer her a place in his ranks, nut really there was no choice to Eiriel. She loved her archangel and her archangel neede her. It was her duty to leave with him, help him to maintain his word and defend it's place in the Symphony. So Eiriel left with the grigori and stayed beside her archangel. It was not always easy, but she saw that others needed her, her singing seemed to help and ease the pains in the hearts of the outcasts. None of the servitors that stayed with Zimran Fell, though many did get soul-killed in the 11,000 years of exile. Finally there were only 12 servitors left, including Eiriel.

Eiriel on vanha enkeli. Ei ensimmäisiä toki, mutta luotu hyvin kauan sitten, kenties ensimmäisiä relievereitä joita tehtiin. Silloin hän oli aina arkkienkeli Elin läheisyydessä ja aina ihmetellen sinfoniaa ja sen kauneutta. Ja laulaminen oli aina Eirielille helpompi tapa kommunikoida, tosin niihin aikoihin laulettiin ja Laulettiin joka tapauksessa enemmän kuin myöhempinä aikoina. Silloin Eiriel jo aloitti yrityksensä ymmärtää sinfoniaa laulamalla ja kommunikoi lähes pelkästään laulujen keinoin, yrittäen auttaa muita ymmärtämään tunteitaan niiden kautta. Eirielin laulaminen on vain vilpitön yritys ymmärtää ja kunnioittaa, laulaminen ei ole hänelle muuta kuin paras tapa siihen. Alkuaikoina Eiriel tosiaan palveli Eliä, mutta kun grigorit oli luotu ja Zimranista tuli Archangel of Song, vaihtoi Eiriel lähes heti tämän palvelukseen (Eli on vieläkin hivenen murheelinen Eirielin menetyksestä). Laulun arkkienkeli pystyi antamaan Eirielille uuden näkökulman sinfoniaan. Eiriel olisi itse voinut saada tuon saman sanan, mutta Eiriel oli jopa kieltäytynyt sanasta kokonaan peläten sen vaikeuttavan hänen yritystään tutkia ja ymmärtää sinfoniaa. Lopulta Zimran sai Eirielin hyväksymään sanan (en ole vieläkään keksinyt mitään kovin tyydyttävää, Singing? Understanding the Symphony?).

Eiriel on kiltti, epäitsekäs ja suunnattoman lempeä olento, jolla moni ei edes usko olevan kykyä mihinkään surua negatiivisempiin tunteisiin (ei tiedetä, pitääkö tämä usko paikkaansa, mutta ainakaan tiettävästi Eiriel ei ole näyttänyt tuntevan vihaa, katkeruutta, kateutta tai edes ylpeyttä, joka ei aina ole paha asia). Eiriel on jonkinlainen sekotus kerubia, elohiittia ja merkuriaania, tosin Eiriel ei usko voivansa saavuttaa elohiitin objektiivisuutta tai kerubin ennen kaikkea kärsivällistä ja vain suojelun kohteelle omistautuvaa rakkautta. Serafeita oli aina vaikea ymmärtää, mutta Eiriel on aina yrittänyt sitäkin ja on viime aikoina jopa jossain määrin kyennyt siihen, nimen omaan Zebadiahin avulla. Malakiitit, synkät ja väkivaltaiset olennot, ovat olleet hyvin vaikeita tapauksia Eirielille, joka myöntää toki, että väkivaltaa on ja toisinaan se on jopa tarpeen, mutta joka itse kammoaa väkivallan käyttöä lähestulkoon yli kaiken. Väkivallasta syntyy harvoin mitään hyvää, mutta toisinaan ihmisiä täytyy suojella demonien vaikutuksilta ja siihen malakiitit ovat tarpeen. Mutta ei Eiriel silti väkivaltaa oikein ymmärrä tai hyväksy (mikä on oikeastaan vain hyvä, väkivalta ei ole merkuriaanin tie noin ylipäätään).

Demonit herättävät Eirielissä lähinnä surua, kammottavinkin demoni tai demoniruhtinas on Eirielille vain todellisen sinfonian kadottanut onneton sielu, jota pitäisi auttaa. Ei Eiriel ole naiivi, hän ymmärtää kyllä että suurin osa demoneista ei tule löytämään todellista sinfoniaa ennen aikojen loppua, mutta se ei tarkoita, etteikö pitäisi yrittää. Ja toki Eiriel tietää, että suurin osa demoneista vain todennäköisesti yrittäisi tappaa hänet tai vahingoittaa muuten, jos pystyisi. Siksi Eiriel välttää demoneita, mutta auttaa mielellään, jos jotain demonia yritetään auttaa taas näkemään oikea tie. Bright lilimit ovat jotain, mitä Eiriel ei ymmärrä lainkaan, sillä hänellä ei juuri ole ollut tilaisuutta tutustua Lilithin tyttäriin, jotka ovat hylänneet helvetin itsekkään tien. Kun Eiriel lähti taivaasta, ei siellä vielä ollut ollut yhtään lunastettua lilimiä ja sen jälkeen näihin tyttäriin on ollut vaikeaa päästä yhteyteen. Eiriel odottaa mielenkiinnolla sitä, millaisen näkökulman nämä voivat antaa sinfoniaan.

Eiriel suri koko karkotusajan enemmän muiden tovereidensa kohtaloa kuin omaansa. Eirielhän olisi koska tahansa voinut palata taivaaseen, Eli olisi varmasti ottanut hänet avosylin vastaan ja ottanut enkeliensä joukkoon. Mutta Eiriel rakasti ja rakastaa arkkienkeliään ja ei olisi voiut ajatellakaan hylkäävänsä tätä silloin kun uskoi arkkienkelinsä häntä eniten tarvitsevan. Ja muiden karkotettujen, sillä Eiriel jollain tasolla tiesi voivansa auttaa ja pitää toivon kipinää karkotetuissa yllä. Niinpä Zimranin joukoista kukaan ei langennut, vaikka Zimranin joukot harvenivat muuten vuosien vieriessä, sillä vaara saattoi vaania missä tahansa. Ja Eiriel suri jokaista heistä, mutta suru ei koskaan muuttunut vihaksi tai katkeruudeksi. Zimran oli katkera Dominicia kohtaan, mutta Eiriel näki aina että Dominic teki vain velvollisuuttan ja demonit olivat vain oikealta tieltä eksyneitä veljiä ja sisaria. Tämä ajatusmaailma hämmensi kyllä suunnattomasti Zimranin malakiitti Josephia, joka tosin eräänä heikkona hetkenään myönsi, että Eirielin usko piti yllä hänen omaa uskoaan, vaikka Eiriel olikin uskomattoman naiivi. Eiriel siis pysyi arkkienkelinsä rinnalla rakkauden tähden ja sen takia, että muut tuntuivat häntä jostain syystä tarvitsevan. Ja siinä oli syytä kylliksi Eirielille, jonka kaipuu taivaaseen alkoi olla loppuaikoina jo lähes fyysistä kipua. Mutta mitä se, mitä itse tuntee, merkitsee silloin kun voi auttaa muita? Tämä sitten aika hyvin tiivistääkin sen miten Eiriel ajattelee, epäitsekkyys ja laulaminen.
