Moved our stuff to GR-studio, a little place at Alavus, optimal for demo recordings. Talked a little about sounds, mics and other stuff. Nothing important.

Monday 29.03.2004
First day of recordings. Finished drums on first part of Anno Pandemonia (namely Upon the Dying) and all went just well, but on the start of second part some troubles occurred on drum pedals. After a few tests decided to left the rest of the song to a better day.

Tuesday 30.03.2004
Beginning to think that Anno Pandemonia part II (Ocularis Infernum) is cursed. Many tries and also many failures. Finally got it played just fine. We’ll see if we do that again at some later point, however Tomi really got pissed off and began to give up. Not very good thing to do at studio, and again we are pleased with the decision of not going to some professional (and so much more expensive) studio. After a long evening we figured we can’t really play other songs because our other guitarist was not present (left earlier for some reason). Now, we can’t record anything on wednesday, for Vire has some personal business so at thursday we’ll be back for more.

Recorded drums on Beyond the Grace Divine. We could't fix the problem with drums, so we'll just have to hope that after mixing everything sounds like they should. After about thousand tries we managed to finish the job for the day. Atmosphere was quite negative because of the set backs with drums.

Recorded drums on Crowned in Damnation. All went quite well considering the circumstances. So all the drums are now recorded. We continued with bass. Everything went smoothly. One bass line(clean) for each track was recorded. Tomorrow we will add few lines with distortion. Of course we had little problems with distortion pedal. We'll see about that tomorrow...

Rest of the bass lines were recorded. Also started to record guitars(Pekkala). We had very limited time for certain reasons and the atmosphere was quite emotionless. You can think yourself why... We spent much of the time for finding good sound. When finaly satisfied, we started to record Anno Pandemonia. Time ran out before we finished the song. We will continue tomorrow.

Rest of the Pekkalas guitars were recorded. Nothing special to say.

All Suhoses distortion riffs were recorded. Clean riffs will be recorded tomorrow. Also found few mistakes on Pekkalas parts. They will also be fixed tomorrow.

Clean parts of Suhonens riffs and Vuorinens vocals were recorded. We will have break for two days.

Vuorinens grunts and screams were recorded. Also started to make little "pre song" for Anno Pandemonia.

Fixed few things and finished the "pre song" for Anno Pandemonia. Now we wait for TooM from Global Illusion to come and play synths. Estimated time next monday.

Finaly came time for synths. TooM from Global Illusion playd them as planned. Thunder tried to ruin our day. Two song were recorded and then we had to stop because of the thunder. Luckily it passed quickly and we managed to record final song. Hopefully demo is going to be mixed and mastered by the end of next week.
