Vaarunvuori Hill Movement

Vaarunvuori Hill Movement is an politically and economically unaligned, voluntary movement, started 1982. We had nearly 13 years an little home office in Päiväkunta village, but from 25.6.1997 we have had to work near Korpilahti city, 10 km from the Vaarunvuori hill in central Finland. In october 2002we moved ton Putkilahti-village 3 km south from Vaarunvuori hill. Korpilahti is a county with 5 000 inhabitants on the shore of Lake Päijänne, a big and beautiful lake, which you can easily see in any map about Finland, in Northern Europe.

Many authorities and e.g. the district of Central Finland of the the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation, and Vaarunvuori Hill Movement have for a long time opposed the pump-fed power station plan during e.g. lecal proceedings. At last we won the battle.

We wish you the best success in your work we hope you do to protect the globe!
