We welcome you to the banks
of the Tenojoki river, famous for its salmon; to the border of Finland
and Norway; to the real Lapland; to the feet of incredible fells; to
rich hunting grounds and clear fishing waters. Tenon Eräkievari is
situated on a beautiful place on the waterfront of the Tenojoki river
eight kilometers from Karigasniemi towards Utsjoki.
All services under one roof, including accommodation, dining, program
services, equipment rental, permits, guides, etc.
Accommodation. Rooms and beachfront cabins for 3 - 4 persons. There are approximately 40 rooms available at the Eräkievari. In addition, we rent cabins located in Utsjoki, Sirma, and Akuvaara.
The restaurant has full liquor licenses and dining facilities for 80 people. We can provide you with all the know-how you need, whether you are organizing a family reunion, an entertainment night for a firm, or a children’s party. Please ask for a tender and we will plan and tailor a customized event.
Fishing. Experience the best salmon river in Europe with the guidance of a skilled rower. We will rent the boats and equipment (also for fly fishing)! We will also arrange your fishing permits.
Willow grouse hunters are offered an experienced guide accompanied by a dog. For servicing we will use an ATV or a snowmobile. The number of permits is limited, and those that are staying the night at the Eräkievari are given priority. Remember to book your hunting trip in good time…
Our program services are always tailored to suit the customer’s needs. The weather, time of year, and Lapland's demanding nature also set their own restrictions. How does fly fishing in streams full of brown trout, driving over the Iskura fell with a snowmobile, or downhill skiing on the Ailigas fell sound?
You can easily get from Karigasniemi to Norway. Those traveling to Nordkapp will find Eräkievari a peaceful place for rest along their long journey.
