7.1.2012 Kylläpä aika rientää, ja anteeksi, että päivitykset nettisivuille ovat olleet vähän hitaanlaisia.. No toisaalta eipä ole ollut mitään erityisiä uutisia tai tapahtumiakaan ollut kerrottavana ennen kuin nyt: Meille tuli vihdoinkin kauan odotettu uusi jäsen perheeseemme juuri joulun alla, todellinen joululahja! Häntä on tosiaan pitkään harkittu; on etsitty ja tutkittu erilaisia yhdistelmiä, mutta tässä yhdistelmässä sitten vain yhdistyivät juuri ne englantilaiset linjat, joista olen haaveillutkin. Hän tulee siis Belgiasta, Aleksandra ja Willem Lauwersilta, Oakdenen K-pentueesta. Hänen virallinen nimensä on Oakdene Kingshott, ja me kutsumme häntä Chapmaniksi. Lähdin itse häntä hakemaan perjantaina 16.12., ja kotiin tulimme sitten yhdessä maanantaina 19.12. Kiitoksia Aleksandra ja Willem, että sain vierailla teidän luonanne ja tutustua rauhassa koko pentueeseen, ja erityisesti kiitoksia teille minun Chapmanista! Tämähän ei ollut ensimmäinen visiittini heidän luokseen, vaan aika tarkalleen kolme ja puoli vuotta sitten kävin heillä ensimmäisen kerran astutus- matkalla Lahtisen Sarin (Clever Sett kennel) puolesta. Eli sillä matkalla saivat alkunsa Clever Sett Balettipennut, josta meille tuli meidän Riomme. Rion isä Sumaric Shadom of Mr. Jingles on Chapmanin isoisä äidin puolelta. Eli Chapmanin isä on Thendara Frozen Asset ja äit: Mayfred Mrs Robinson. Nyt sitten vain nautimme Chapmanin pentuajasta ja jäämme seuraamaan hänen kehitystään suurin odotuksin! Isoveljet Wesley ja Rio ovat ottaneet uuden pikkuveikan hyvin vastaan. Tässä muutamia kuvia tältä aamulta, kun saimme vihdoinkin Turkuun tämän talven ensilumen ja Chapmanille se todella oli ensimmäinen lumi ikinä! Kuten kuvista näkyy, hän on todella nauttinut tästä uudesta elementistä! Lisää kuulumisia seuraa sitten myöhemmin.
7.1.2012 Oh how time flies, and apologies that there hasn't been that many updates to my website lately. Partly because there hasn't been any special news or happenings, not until now. We have finally got a longwaited new member to our family; a real Christmas Present! He comes from Belgium, from the Oakdene K-litter and from Aleksandra & Willem Lauwers. His official name is Oakdene Kingshott, and we call him Chapman (Sir Chapman to be precisely) I went to Belgium on 16th of December and we flew back home together on the 19th of December. Thank you Aleksandra and Willem for your hospitality and especially thank You for giving me my Chapman! For those who doesn't know this was not my first visit to Belgium.. I visited The Lauwers family 3.5 years ago, on behalf of Sari Lahtinen (Clever Sett kennel). I was there with Ellie, when she was mated with Shumaric Shadow of Mr. Jingles. Our Rio comes from that litter. So Rio and Chapman are related; Rio's Dad is Chapman's Grandad from the mother's side. Chapman comes from Sire : Thendara Frozen Asset (Beatles), Dam: Mayfred Mrs Robinson (Lana). This litter is something I have dreamed about for a long time; this is a dream come true combination from some English bloodlines that I have been looking for. So at the moment we are enjoying Chapman's puppytime and following his development with high expectations! Wesley and Rio has welcomed Chapman very warmly to our family. Here is some photos from this morning, when we finally got this winter's first snow. And for Chapman it was his first snow ever! And as you can see from the photos - he really likes this new element! More news to vome later.

5.3.2011 Kevät on jo vihdoin alkanut, ja aurinkoakin jo näkee pitkän pimeän talven jälkeen! Kyllä sitä onkin jo odotettu. Tämä talvi on tuntunut todella pitkältä ja erittäin pimeältä. Toivottavasti kesästä on vuorostaan tulossa oikea intiaanikesä pitkine hellekausineen. Olemme poitsujen kanssa nauttineet päivittäin lumisesta metsästä, ja pitkistä lenkeistä. Ainoa hyvä puoli kunnon talvessa on se, että turkki pysyy puhtaana, eikä tarvitse olla koko ajan pesemässä hiekkaa, mutaa ym. pois.. J Riolta nypin korvista kaikki "vauvakarvat" pois, ja jopa hänestä tulikin iso pojan oloinen. Hänestä muutama uusi kuva omalla kuvasivulla. Finally the spring is coming and we have had couple of great sunny days! This winter has really been a long and dark one. In turn I really hope that the summer will be very hot and sunny and very longlasting as well. Wesley and Rio have been enjoying long runs in winterly forest. The only good thing that I found in winter, is that I don't have to wash their coat all the time of sand and mud J. I plucked all "baby"-hair of Rio's ears, and he looks more adult-like and masculine now. You can find couple of photos in his own photo-page.

23.1.2011 Taas on vierähtänyt aikaa viime päivityksestä. Muutamissa näyttelyissä on pyörähdetty, ja Rion kanssa tuli jopa käytyä ensimmäinen ulkomaan näyttelyreissu Tukholmassa joulukuussa. Kiitoksia vain Sarille, Airille ja Eliakselle mahtavasta matkaseurasta! Toivottavasti teemme jatkossakin näitä reissuja yhdessä. Muuten ollaan vietetty paljon aikaa kotona, ja koiruksien kanssa pitkillä metsälenkeillä. Nyt kun meille on tänä talvena suotu lunta jo vähän liikaakin, niin ostin itselleni jopa lumikengät pysyäkseni paremmin koirus-kaksikon perässä J It has been a while since my last update. We have been participating couple of shows, mainly with Rio. We even did our first trip abroad and visited the show in Stocholm in December. Special thanks to Sari, Airi and Elias for sharing this trip with us, and hopefully there will be more of these to come! Otherwise we've been spending a lot of time at home and doing long walks in the forest. We have got a lot of snow this winter - some would even say that too much.. Anyway I got myself a pare of snowshoes so I'll keep up better after my dog-duo.

19.9.2010 Kesä menikin tänä vuonna todella nopeasti. Tämä kesä olikin aivan ihanan lämmin ja aurinkoinen! Nyt on hyvä mieli käydä kohti talvea hymyssä suin, paljon aurinkoa ladattuna akkuihin.. Kesällä kävimme muutamissa näyttelyissä, ja hyvinhän nuo menivät varsinkin Rion osalta. Syksyn pidämme näyttely-taukoa, ja seuraavat näyttelyt ovatkin meidän osalta vasta joulukuussa. Nämä kuvat ovat otettu paikoista, missä me olemme viettäneet suurimman osan kesästämme; poikien kanssa futiskentillä ja koirien kanssa luonnosta nauttien! The summer went really fast this year. This summer was excellent; lots of sun and warm! Now when the batteries are loaded with sun, it is easier to welcome the wintertime. We attended some shows, and for Rio those went very well. Now we'll have a little break from the showrings, and back in real action next time in December. These photos are from the places where we have spent most of our summer; with boys at the football field and with dogs in the nature.

12.5.2010 Tänään olemme nauttineet kevään ensimmäisestä lämpimästä päivästä, ja toivotaan, että tulevana kesänä näitä aurinkoisia hellepäiviä on tulossa vielä paljon, paljon enemmän. Nyt onkin aika valmistautua tämän vuoden ensimmäisiin näyttelyihin. Ensin la 15.5. Mynämäki, ja sitten la-su 29-30.5. Joensuussa parikin näyttelyä. 12.5.2010 Today we have finally had the first warm and sunny day in Finland! Hopefully not the last.. Now it's time for us to prepare ourselves to the first shows this year. First we'll be attending now on Saturday 15th of May the Mynämäki. Then in Joensuu 2 shows on the weekend 29-30 of May.

9.3.2010 Uusi vuosi on jo edennyt kolmannelle kuukaudelle, ja ehdin pitkästä aikaa päivittämään kotisivuja. Meidän alkuvuosi onkin mennyt talonrakennusprojektissa, ja nyt ollaan jo päästy muuttamaan uuteen kotiin! Tässä muutamia kuvia meidän hirmuista uusissa kotimaisemissa. 9.3.2010 It's been a while since my last update for the websites. Our year has gone by by working at our house, but now we have finally moved in! Here is some photos of our boys in our new neighbourhood.

8.10.2009 Hui kuinka aika rientääkään - nyt on jo lokakuun loppupuoli menossa ja Riokin ehti jo täyttää 1 vuoden! (kuvia hänestä kuvat R-sivulla) Wesleyn viralliset lonkkakuvat otettiin elokuussa, ja tulokset löytyvät hänen sivultaan. Kiirettä perheessämme riittää, ja rakennusprojekti edistyy aikataulussa. Muutamaan näyttelyyn aion kuitenkin poikien kanssa ehtiä, ja niistä löytyvät tiedot näyttelyt-sivuilta. Seuraavan kerran varmaankin päivitän sivuja marraskuun lopussa. 18.10.2009 It's amazing how time actually seems to fly - The October is nearly gone, and our Rio had his First Birthday on the 16th of October! (photos at photos R.) Wesley got his official results about his hips and elbows, and these you'll find in the Wesley B-page. We live very hectic life at the moment - mainly because of our house project, but also because of boys' football. Still I have decided to participate some shows with Wesley & Rio. These you'll find at Shows W. & Shows R. - pages. I'll try to update the pages next time in the end of November. J
11.8.2009 Nyt ollaankin jo elokuussa, ja kesä alkaa olla takanapäin. Muutamassa näyttelyssä tuli kesällä käytyä; Ensin Tuusulassa heinäkuun alussa, ja nyt "kotikentällä" Turussa 9.8.09. Heinäkuussa ehdittiin jopa vähän lomailla, ja kävimme vanhempieni veneellä Maarianhaminassa, ja tietysti Wesley & Rio olivat myös matkassa mukana. Oikein mukavaa oli, vaikkakin hieman ahdasta.. 11.8.2009 It is already August, and the summer is nearly over. We even manage to spend some holiday during July, and we visited Maarianhamina with my parent's boat. Naturally Wesley and Rio accompanied us - it was fun, but also a little bit growded.. Rio has grown very fast, and he is nearly as high as Wesley. He keeps me very busy with his little tricks, and Wesley is trying to ease my job by training Rio in his own way. I'm very glad, that Rio's training will start in the end of August.. J


28.6.2009 Taas on reilu kuukausi vierähtänyt, ja kiirettä vaan pukkaa meidän perheessä. Koiruksien kanssa käytiin Club Show'ssa Mäntässä 13.6.2009. Tästä löydät lisää Näyttelykertomuksista. Wesleyn kanssa käytiin syksyllä kesken jäänyt koulutus loppuun touko-kesäkuussa (Kontaktin tehokurssi). Rion kanssa jatkoimme myös koulutusta kesäkuussa ALO-kurssilla, ja opeteltiin ihan perustottelevaisuutta, jossa edelleen on kovasti paranneltavaa.. Muuten ollaankin sitten oltu tiiviisti molempien poikien futispeleissä kannustamassa, ja niitä kun sitten riittää monta joka viikolle J. Kuvat alla Mackistä on otettu Auracupissa tänä viikonloppuna. 28.6.2009 Time flies and it has been already over a month since my last update. We visited The Club Show in Mänttä with both boys, and more of this you will find in Showstories. With Wesley we completed the training, that we already started in Autumn'08 (Intensive course of Contact, May-June). And with Rio we took part in Basic Obedience Course to continue with training. Oh boy! I can honestly say that, this was just the beginning of our endless training, because he do need more - much more of it.. Mummy's naughty little villain, that's what he truly is! The rest of our time has gone by the foodball field and by cheering for the both boys: Niclas and Marcus J. Photos of Marcus are taken from this weekend in AuraCup 2009.

4.5.2009: Olin koirien kanssa metsässä, ja Rio päätti tehdä uuden aluevaltauksen; Hän söi metsässä oravan nahkoineen, häntineen päivineen! Minä ja myös Wesley juoksimme hänen perässään, ja yritimme saada hänet irrottamaan siitä otuksesta, mutta ei hän vain pureskeli sitä innoissaan, häntä vain roikkui ulos suusta - ja lopulta hän sitten nielaisi sen - yak! No nyt on sitten koko viikko seurailtu, että se orava myös tulee toisesta päästä ulos - ja kyllä vihdoinkin se tuli, mutta sieltä tuli myös seuraavana päivänä tiskirätti, jonka katoamista kovin olinkin ihmetellyt. 4.5.2009: I was in the forest with the dogs and Rio decided to become a hunter: He ate a whole squirrel! Both me and my goodbehaving buddy Wesley tried to catch Rio, but he was just enjoying himself and chewing the squirrel in his mouth just the tale coming out - and finally he just swallowed it - yak! Now I have observed whole week that the squirrel will also come out of him, and finally it did. But the following day surprise, surprise, I also found my dishcloth coming out of him. He just loves to eat everything at the moment..

9.4.2009 / Rio haluaa matkustaa ulkomaille: Kiirastorstaina töistä tullessani löysin tällaista jälkeä olohuoneestamme. Pikku herra Rio haluaa lähteä ulkomaille, ja tutki erittäin tarkasti useamman matkanjärjestäjän esitteet. Valitettavasti hän ei osannut kertoa minulle, minkä kohteen hän valitsi, sillä tunsin suurta houkutusta lähettää hänet sinne! 9.4.2009 / Rio wants to travel abroad: This sight is what was waiting for me, when I got home from work. Our Rio had decided, that he wants to travel abroad. He had studied very closely several brochures from different travel agents. Unfortunately he could not tell me, which place he liked the most, because for a moment I felt tempted to send him there.
