Disaster dog:
Wellu started practicing in the rescue dog field at age four months. He is a
very open-minded dog and therefore he started the actual search quite soon. The
progress has been taken slowly maintaining the motivation. It has worked well,
since Wellu is highly motivated and enjoys the activity.
Wellu passed the BH-test in May 2002 and the Search & Rescue Dog Trial-A
test in October 2002 with the grade "very good." |

Obedience training:
Basic every day obedience training started as soon as Wellu arrived home.
Training for competitions started in August 2001 and his first competition was
in May 2002. He has two 1st prizes in beginner's class and three 1st prize in
the open class. He is now training to compete in the winner class (third level
out of four).
Wellu is a fast learner and works well with the handler.
Motivation is held by changing the reward between treats and toys. In all
it can be said that a toller is a great obedience dog, but the handler has to
have a great imagination in planning the practices and rewards!

Dog shows:
Wellu has done very well in shows rings. He is a natural
performer with great movements. He also gets praised for his lovely
white markings and color, head and angulations. He has three CC´s
from Finland, one from Norway, one from Austria and on from Sweden, he also has
4 cacib's (Finland, Norway, Austria and Sweden).
