27.12.2008 Laava's puppies are growing vigorously. Pictures from Christmas Eve.

18.12. Laava's (Chilihunters Pride Bailey) puppies are born. We have 3 black bitches, 3 black dogs and one yellow dog. Mother and puppies are fine.

14.11. Laava (Chilihunters Pride Bailey) is expecting puppies, they will be born on week 51.

Veera (W. Aloe) hips AA & elbows 00! W. Abel will be x-rayd in a couple of weeks time.

10.11. Noita (W. Alice) hips AA & elbows 00, Manta (W. Avon) hips BB & elbows 00 !

5.11. Sissi (W. April) hips AA & elbows 00 !

4.11. Molli (W. Annie) hips AA & elbows 00 !

3.11. A-litter (6/7) was x-rayd and eye examined on 26.11. They all had clear eyes, hips and elbows looked fine. The whole litter is CNM clear by parentage and all puppies were genetested for PRA already before leaving they new homes. Now some official results for x-rays have arrived; W. Ace 'Baccus' hips AA elbows 00. At the same occasion we collected blood samples for a Finnish dog gene research (Dr. Hannes Lohi and his team).

Next week it is time for Laava'a pregnancy ultrasound :-)

20.10. Laava has been mated with 3UHM Ravensbank Swift.

17.8. Sissi (Waterfowler April) had her debyt in beginner class and wow she did nice work! It was otherwise perfect, but they have had some problems with deliveries which don't always come to hand. Result beginner 2nd prize (cold game). All credits to Mari who has done such a great job with Sissi!

16.8. Veera (Waterfowler Aloe) qualified in the field (Antskog 16.8. Judge Joni Höijer). Nice work Mika and Veera! Seven puppies from the A-litter is now qualified in the field and all has passed the first time! Many thanks to the owners for being so active!

I had another start in Open with Laava. She was totally out of hand! I just had to laugh :-). No result...

11.8. Noita (Waterfowler Alice) suoritti taipumuskokeen Vammalassa 9.8. Onnittelut Markus, Saara ja Noita! Sunnuntaina olin Tinkan kanssa kyyhkyn aloituksessa. Saalina parisenkymmentä pulua. Ensi viikonloppuna Antskogin taipparissa yrittää Veera, Sissi starttaa jo alokasluokassa ja itse olen Laavan kanssa avoimessa. Vipinää riittää siis ensi viikonlopullekin :-)

4.8. Molli (Waterfowler Annie) qualified in the field (Ruotsinpyhtää 6.7. Judge Ari Huttunen). Congratulations for me and Molli!. A-litter celebrated their first birthday next day.

Tobina and Aquan trialled in cold game tests beginners class 11.7. and 19.7. acchieving 3rd and 1st prize. Aqua seems to be very talented bitch and she has matured quickly. She has a great self-confidence and motivation for work. It is interesting to see how far this couple will go!

I started with Laava first time in open class 26.7. in Padasjoki. I was very satisfied with the her work even though we didn't quick succeed in the handling part. Result Open 3rd prize (cold game).

22.6. Sissi (Waterfowler April) is qualified in the field (Vihti 14.6. Judge Harri Siven). Congratulations Mari and Sissi and the whole family!

The same weekend trialed with Tinka in the open class with good result Open 1st prize (Liperi 14.6. Judge Veijo Honka). One week before we took part in WT-trial with result Open 3. prize (Rauma 7.6. Judge Harri Siven). We were in the finals with the best points, but handling in the water didn't give us many points...

Tobina and Aqua did it much better in beginners class they were second in the competition with 1. prize. Aqua's firts heat has started so we will have a little pause with trialling.

3.6.2008 Manta (Waterfowler Avon) qualified in the field (Iittala 3.6. Judge Risto Heikkonen). Super Mirja & Manta!

3.6. 2008 Baccus (Waterfowler Ace) and Aqua (Aqua vom Gutshofsberg) are qualified in the field (Ruokolahti 17.5. Judge Risto Aaltonen). Well done Tobina, Aqua & Baccus! The official health results of Aqua came back from the Kennel Club, hips BB and elbows 00. Great!

In april I participated training weekend with Tinka. It was in Sweden arranged by Tinka's breeder Poul-Erik Nielsen Kennel Lassagårdens. Also Tinka's brother Nitro (Lassagårdens Non Stop) with his owner Mervi and her husband Jouni were participating. Instructors were Pernille Schwartz and Kaj Lübcke fron Danmark.

Laava was bit by a snake. She had quite a swelling in her nose but otherwise only small damage was done :-)

6.3.2008 Aqua has been x-rayd and everything looked allright. Official results will be back from Finnish Kennel Club in 2-3 weeks. Eyes were OK as well. Tinka's puppies, Baccus and Molli were preliminary (8 months) x-rayd and were healthy. Both were eye examined and were OK.
Sunday we had training with Tinka's puppy Manta. She was very interested in game and we did some exercises with it. New pictures in Gallery.

24.2.2008 Training in Siuntio. The weather was as usual; raining... Sissi, Baccus and Molli from A-litter were with us. First we did some basic retrieves with dummies and then free work with game. Puppies were excited, but calm enough to use their nose properly.

5.2.2008 Aqua had her CNM -testresults back and she is N/N - not carrying the affected gene. Molli has left her stomach problems behind and eating normal food again. Snow?! stopped us from trainig, not for long time I hope. New puppypictures in Gallery.
