More: First sunspot of the Cycle 24 appeared on 4th of January, so one could think that this was the first aurora of the new solar cycle for me. Aurora was nice, but not great, still best since 2006 December. I ran into unexpected lens problem...Lens was "sharp" at infinity when i went out, but as the time went on and the lens got colder, it went totally out of focus. This hasn't ever happened to me before, so i really wasn't expecting things like that happening. Much testing must be done to see, if my f1.8/20 mm Sigma is lemon or can this be solved somehow.
Anyway this also means that the photos below are NOT good, even if they may look ok in such a small size. They have been drastically sharpened and so on. On full size, they are just pure rubbish...unfortunately.
