Chart Plotter V 2

I suppose that you haven't seen a chart plotter like this before. It uses a visible laserbeam.
The laserelement is in the turnbox with two steppermotors with special construction eliminated
the slack of mechanical motion.

Principle of operation:
The device has a center point(origo) what is perpendicular of the charttable.
Each chart has own reference point(Lat/Long) what is the same point as origo when the chart lies on the table.
Also the chart has a scale value(100mm - nautigal miles *100). Thats all.
If the position of GPS is on the chartarea then the turnbox turns the laserbeam to the position where the GPS is.
First time when I test it, seems like a prototype, but it's working.
Here you can see the position of the boat on the right side of the chart.
And finally the plotter was ready to installation. It's like a prototype still, but the turnbox will be installed
to place where you can't see it very well. I'll put a window to bulkhead of my cabin and chart inside on it.
And the box will coming inside of boat!, works with mirror setup. Other idea is to place it bottom of transparent
charttable, but then it needs a bigger boat.It can of course be above the chart.
Developing the software was quite interesting.
And the final installation to the closet and view to sailor.
