| 1. day:
Transfer from airport to acommodation. After dinner,
you’ll get all informations needed. Then you have
time to relax in the Sauna. For late arrivals, information
follows next morning.
2. day:
Snowmobiling. You will get your dressed and obteind
all driving and safety instructions before starting
to a 40-60 km long snowmobile safari. Challenging trails,
wild forest and wide swamps and lakes.
You may meet reindeers and birds and see traces from
moose and snow hares. On the way, lunch will be served
by an open fire. Duration of tour is about 4-5 hours.
Two person per snowmobile. On reguest, single snowmobile
booking is possible.
3. day:
Sleddog trainingday. Transfer to the Huskyfarm.
A hundred Huskies and your guide wellcome you on Finn-Jann!
Now, you will get all informations for the coming day
and instructions how to handle the dogs and the sledge.
We will drive a training loupe with two person per dog-team.
One is driving and one is sitting in the sledge. Drivers
change during the tour. Lunch is served by open fire,
out in the forest. Driving distance depending on weather
conditions and are between 15-30km.
4. day:
Overnight starts.Transfer to the Farm. Preparing
for the Overnight-Safari.
Everyone will drive his own dog-team with 4-6 huskies.(Optional
two person /sledge). During the tour, we eat around
the fire. In the afternoon we will reach the wilderness
cabin. Together with the guide, you take care of your
own dogs. And in teamwork, we heat the cabin and sauna,
open the ice lock and caring the wather in. Coffeetime.
And now, traditionel, finish sauna will be ready! Are
you as brave to take a swim in the brr could ice hole?
Dinner.
The rustic block cabin has no electricity and running
water. There's an outdoor toilet. For personal hygiene,
there will be hot water in the sauna.
5. day:
After breakfast and careing the dogs, we will pack and
put the dogs ready to continue the tour. Lunch will
be taken in the forest again. In the afternoon, arrival
on the farm. After peting the dogs and say them goodby,
we have coffe and traditional snacks on the farm. Transfer
back to acommodation.
6. day:
Wintersport in Taivalkoski. In the morning, you will
snowshoe through the Taivalvaara Nature fitness park.
Enjoy the fresh air, the silence and could of the arctic
winter. Learn about finnish nature and wildlife. A warm
drink is served on the tour. After lunch in the hotel,
it is possible to join a crosscountry skiing introduction.
You can also get skis and go on your own. Dinner and
sauna.
7. day:
Free day. Explore the surroundings on your own. Visit
the village with its old russian traide store, join
our other activities or relax in the hotel minispa.
For dinner, you can test all local meals on the "Kolismaa"buffet.
8. day:
After breakfirst, transfer to airport.
The order of the days is variable and depenting on circumstances.
On reguest, it is possible to join two day husky-tours
instead of a snowshoeing and free day.
