The river “Ii” is one of the best canoeing waters in Scandinavia.
It's very safe also for beginners and it offers a big variation
of nordic nature. The water is drinkable and contains many
kinds of fish. The waterlevel is all the time enough high
for water sports. The name ”Ii” has it's origins in the samish
language and means night. Why it's called like this? Because
of the dark colored bottom. The guide will tell you some storries
about the river and it's important cultural meaning. A lot
of wildlife can be seen during the trip. In Finland sauna
is "must" so we will have our tend sauna warm every
evening on tour for relax muchles and mind.

| Program |
1st day:
Transfer from the airport to the basecamp. Dinner, introduction, typical finnish wood heated sauna, overnight in doublerooms.
2nd day:
Breakfast. Gathering the material. Aftgerwards transfer to the starting point of the tour. Short canoeing instruction and start to the paddling tour. Lunch on a campfire during the day. Paddling further to the first overnight place. Dinner. Tentsauna. Overnight in tent.
3rd day:
After breakfast a paddling day along the beautyful river. Dinner. Tentsauna. Overnight in tent.
4th day:
After about 2 hours paddling we reach the village Taivalkoski, where we will have lunch and the possibility for small shoppings. After this short civilisation break we go on further to the next overnight place. Dinner. Tentsauna. Overnight in tent.
5th day:
Next paddling stage. Dinner. Tentsauna. Overnight in tent.
6th day:
The last paddling day of this tour. Once more we enjoy lunch on the campfire during the tour. After we have reached the final point, we transfer back to the basecamp by car. Goodby-dinner. Sauna, Overnight in doublerooms.
7th day:
Breakfast and transfer to the airport
