OUR HUSKIES

Finn-Jann has about 100 working dogs. Most of our dogs are alaskan huskies but we have also pure breed siberian huskies . Most of alaskan huskies are born here in farm. We got in spring –94 to farm female named ”Alaska” I chance name to be Kiisu. Kiisu have born in Alaska –92. Kiisus pedigree is unknown partly. I put Kiisu during first test drive to lead and after this it have been ”the one” in farm. I bred Kiisu in same way –94 with Tupla. Tupla was son from famous Amos, mother was mixing with Redingon alaskan and Polarspeed siberian. This breeding give basic for Finn-Jann line alaskans.

First litter give : Tellu, Maisa, Salli, Panda, Uula, Jaska, Eppu. And I repeat it –96 when born: Ruuti, Raakel, Juudas, Paavali, Pietari, Viivi. These dogs have been very good for working and also for breeding further. There is lot of leader potential in this line. From Kiisu I have made still litter with ”Lillehammers Huskyboy” Pointer/husky from Asbjörn Erdal-Aase and then still with Clapton from Jaakonsaari. Huskyboy give some top dogs like Moses and Martha. We will continue with alaskans so that we mix to ”Kiisu line” other bloodlines what we have ourselves from many top lines and we also look all time new blood. Target is to stay ”original alaskans ” not fix too much Pointer/german shorthair pointer blood in. So our breeding will focus to middistace-longdistance-touring huskies with enough fur for nordic winters.

In our kennel is good storage of bloodlines from wery succesfull racing lines from top sprint,middistance and also longdistance lines.

Siberian huskies: We have beside alaskans also pure siberians. First sleddog i had was ”Ressu”, anadyr line female. Beginning –90s: I bought female Harebuss. Hare was from wargevass lines (Aias-Hilsen) Hare made 2 litters: one with Aikapoika and other with Goosak Sitka. Both litters was good working dogs and also good succes in dog exhibitions. (Finn-Jann Polka, - Athos, - Swing, - Aramis, - Madeleine). They also have many litters . Other main female was Sylvi. She was perfect open area leader, almost to clever. Sylvi had litters with Zero –line dogs Harris and Leroy. They give many nice dogs: Panu, Topi , Reeta, Jarda , Aida etc. And also maybe best siberian I have had Lyyti. Lyyti was many years together with Njurga leading our best team.

Lyyti was quiet dog but had good auktority in team. She was working always good and was very sure leader. Breeding with Lyyti I used Geehaw Brando from Jaakonsaari. This give good dogs but one over other: Kiptanui. He was small quiet male but hardworking and wery clever open area leader. Kiptanu iwas used several times breeding and have good results. Njurga who is mentioned before was as character husky from huskies: Very very thick head, but when you got his respect he was perfect leader and worker. Not anykind of beauty but very strong and enduranced dog. He was dog you can hate and love in same moment. Run 30 000 km in our team and was and will be for me the one and only .There can be faster and easier dogs but Njurga i can have only once. Njurga have some boys and girls who also work good and even look that they also have character like father. Siberian husky breeding will also continue in farm. We like to keep siberian husky as a workingdog like it have always been, so dog must proof on heavy using to be able before it get ”permit” for breeding. Only way to select good dogs is driving, not on leach in any arena.
