The first Slievemish litter was born in January 1988 and the first Slievemish Champions were finished in 1990. During the past years more than 60 Slievemish bred Kerries have gained more than hundred different Champion titles including eleven International Show Champions. There are more than 300 Best of Breed wins out of which thirteen different Slievemish Kerries have won the Terrier Group more than fifty times. And Best in Show has been won nine times by six different Slievemish Kerries.
In these tables you can find the show results of the top winning Slievemish Kerries as well as some nice memorable moments in the show rings.
There has been many unforgottable moments - as well at shows as outside of them - with my brood bitches Viivi and Miffi and my stud Hairy. But in this page there are only mentioned the moments of success of the home-bred Slievemish Kerries.

Altogether 11 BoB wins for Slievemish Kerries who placed themselves four times in the Terrier Group. The first Best in Show Breeder's Class was presented by the Slievemish kennel at the all breed show in Porvoo on September 9th 1990. During the year Merry Blue Violet with her offspring presented a BoB Progeny Class six times placing every time also in the BIS competition but was also 3 x BIS-1 Progeny Class! These results entitled to #2 at the all breed Top Ten Progeny Class -Competition!

During the year Slievemish Kerries won 22 BoB wins by six different dogs. And three of these dogs also won the Terrier Group total of six times. At the European Winner Show in Helsinki the Best of Breed was Slievemish Mystical Mister, the Breeder's Class of Slievemish ended up BIS-5 and the Progeny Class of Merry Blue Violet was BIS-2. All three - Viivi, Miffi and Hairy - presented Best in Show Progeny Classes and Slievemish kennel took the BIS at the Breeder's Classes five times in 1991!

The Winner of the Kerry of the Year 1992 competition was Slievemish Mistyblu who was the other of the BIS Winners from kennel Slievemish. Another BIS Winner was Slievemish On the Rocks who was also the Top Winning Kerry Male and placed second in the Kerry of the Year 1992 competition. Altogether Slievemish Kerries had total of 29 BoB Wins which even finished with Group 1st ten times (3 x BIS-1) plus 8 Placings in the Group. Kennel Slievemish presented twice BIS-1 Breeder's Classes.

Slievemish New Choice and Slievemish On the Rocks were the first to gain the titles of International Champions. In 1994 there were eight different Slievemish Kerries to win altogether 25 BoB Wins. Slievemish Razzle Dazzle was Best in Show at the Helsinki Summer Show and also three other Slievemish Kerries won the Terrier Group six times. Kennel Slievemish presented BIS Breeder's Classes three times and the Progeny Class of Merry Blue Violet was BIS-1 at the Finnish Winner Show'94 in Helsinki.

Kennel Slievemish was awarded the Vuolasvirta Award (number 315) by the Finnish Kennel Club for the very distinguished breeding work. During the year 1995 seven Slievemish Kerries won altogether 17 BoB Wins. Three of these won also the Terrier Group and Slievemish Mistyblu was BIS-1 Veteran in Kajaani as well at the Club Specialty. Mistyblu was also #3 in the Finnish Kennel Club's Top Veteran 1995 competition. The Breeder's Classes of Kennel Slievemish were BIS four times.

Slievemish Kerries had a very successful weekend in Piteå, Sweden; on Friday Slievemish Razzle Dazzle was BIS-2 at the local Terrier Club's Show, on Saturday Slievemish Unique Choice was BIG-2 at the all breed show and on Sunday Slievemish Razzle Dazzle was BIG-1 at the international show. Kennel Slievemish presented again the Best in Show Breeder's Class at the Finnish Terrier Association's Terrier Specialty.

Kennel Slievemish was awarded the Breeder's Award (number 26) by the Finnish Terrier Association. Kennel Slievemish has been the only Kerry Kennel to achieve this award of honour. Slievemish Amazing Choice was Best of Breed at the Club Specialty at the age of 22 months and assured herself the 3rd place at the Kerry of the Year 1997 competition. She was also the Top Winning Kerry Bitch. Altogether seven Slievemish Kerries won 14 times BoB and five of them placed in the Terrier Group for six times. F.C.I. confirmed three new International Champion titles for Slievemish Kerries. Kennel Slievemish had a BIS Breeder's Class once.

Already years nearby the top Slievemish Amazing Choice finally got now the Title of the Kerry of the Year 2000 and also after a very good year a young male Slievemish Call Me Mr Blue was the Top Winning Kerry Male and 2nd in the Kerry of the Year Competition. He was also BIS at the Club Specialty this year. During the year 2000 Slievemish Kerries (owned by Finnish owners) achieved their 200th Best of Breed Win! The Breeder's Classes of kennel Slievemish won BIS three times.

There are already 50 Slievemish bred Champions around the World. One of them is Am Ch Slievemish Blazing Diamond who was BoS at the Montgomery Show 2003 - there was more than 100 Kerries entered! Ch Slievemish Flash of Irish was the Top Winning Finnish Bred Kerry Male and 3nd on the Kerry of the Year Competition. He was also the Best Kerry in the Top Terrier of the Year 2003 Competition by placing 7th.

Slievemish Flash of Irish won the Kerry of the Year Competition. He was BoB 16 times including two Group Wins and four Placements. Lassi also achieved the Cacibs needed for the International Championship and will be the 10th Slievemish Kerry who will have the title of International Champion.

Slievemish Legendary Duke competed only from the end of April till the end of September in the Finnish show rings and yet won the Kerry of the Year Competition. He was BoB 15 times including three Group Wins and four Placements. And before he left Finland at the end of September Luke had achieved Championships from Finland, Russia, Estonia and Sweden and all that just at the age of 2 years and 4 months. One of his first shows in the U.S.A. was the Montgomery Show and there he won the Open Class Males and ended up Reserv Winner! Diiva was the 60th Slievemish Kerry to become a Champion.

Slievemish Legendary Duke competed only from the end of September'06 till the middle of January'07 in the American show rings and gained the Am Champion Title as a first Finnish owned Kerry Blue Terrier. After returning home he went 9 times Best of Breed and yet once all the way to Best In Show as well as one other Best in Group plus three placements. Five more Slievemish Kerries to finnish their Finnish Champion title.
