Welcome!

I remember from my childhood when me and my friends often sat in the saddle room, sworn horsegirls as we were, and read some horsebooks. We admired enormously Arabian horses and collected everything that was connected to those magnificent horses, and that way we also found information about hunting with hawks and Salukis. Time went by and horses changed to dogs, but that mystical Arabian world’s Saluki stayed on my mind for all my youth. On the dog shows I secretly admired that elegant animal, until in the year 1995 my wish came true: From Mrs. Pirjo Grönfors’s Kennel El Hamrah we got a little almond-eyed Saluki puppy which immediately stole my family’s –our son Harris’s, my husband Pekka’s and my heart. A warm thank you to Mrs. Pirjo Grönfors to Kennel El Hamrah for opening the door for us to the magical world of Salukis. Welcome to get acquintant to our Salukis!
