Anatomy ála Simm

As we all know the anatomy of the ibizan hound breed differs markedly from other breeds ;) Simm has a few body parts that are worth mentioning. First we have to mention the NOSE because it comes allways first and it´s BIG. Probably the most important function of the nose is pushing. You can push both sleeping and awake humans with your nose, but you must first adjust the temperature and humidity of your nose, so that the effect is powerful enough. Then just direct your weapon towards the victim you´ve selected... In addition the nose is a good insect trap. The breed standard also contains “the nose-part” where they say that the nose should be slightly convex (enables enough elasticity when pushing insects),  color should be like meat (attracts flesh flies) and nostrils should be wide open (a good place for preserving your prey). Simm´s favorite buck is the silver fish. First you must push the buck towards the floor so hard that it takes enough Newtons to take the nose to boxer style. Then you should take amazed expression because the silver fish is so rude that it stops playing with you and your nose. The last stage is finishing by slapping with a paw.

Then there is the paw, a very multifunctioning part. Simm uses his paws when killing his “preys”. Simm doesn´s want to admit that cats kill with their paws so he is trying to practise using teeth first... The paw is also handy when you must fell some objects. I taught Simm to fell a can. Unfortunately my independent beezer want´s to play this game by itself. It can be pretty funny when Simm comes beside the sofa and first he fells the beer can and then tries to whisper which means that he pokes with his nose the whole face pretending that he tries to hit the ear. The paw is also handy when you want to smack your friends´ faces. Sometimes this technique enables you to steal a bone from your amazed friend.

The ears (Auricula do NOT hear when someone is calling for you) arouse lots of attention and funny comments. Someone has even asked if they are cropped. I was pretty surprised and imagined “the natural size” with fear :D Big ears are not made for that you could hear your owner´s voice better. In stead the bigger ears the more selective hearing. So humans, you should be picky when selecting your beezer... It is also important to know which are the right situations to show your ears. Dog shows and other events don´t belong to these appropriate situations. Seriously speaking the ears are used to evaporating heat and indicating excitement.
