Our Pyrenean Mountain Dogs

Pyrenean Mountain Dog is a big, mostly white, thousands of years old, French guardian breed. His important job was (still is) to protect "his" blocks of sheeps or cattle from beasts like wolves or coyotes. Nowadays he also may be seen protecting big areas like enterprizes from thieves or vandals. As a very smart and intelligent dog (too smart sometimes one could say...) he may be used as a search dog for missing people or things due to his sharp scent.

Our first Pyr-bitch Pyrlab's Agitano "Iita" stepped into our live in 1992. We began a small-scale breeding in 1994, when the first litter was born. We have bred 10 litters of pyrs 'til this date. The dames have been: Pyrlab's Agitano -94. -96; Pyrzillac's Farfalla -98, -99; Pyraryas -02; Pyrzillac's Echina -02; Pyrzillac's Estella -03, Pyrzillac's Gigolette -04, -05, Pyrzillac's Ingalina -06 and Pyrzillac's Theresette -06.
