Objective

Yearly cruisin along
the hole Baltic Sea from Finland to Denmark and back to home port Porvoo, Finland.

Nowadays sailing the Gulf of Finland.

Foggy day on Lokholmen in summer 2001

Mare Balticum, The Baltic Sea is the worlds largest water area with a low percentage of salty. You can sail the Baltic Sea yearly six months from May to October, the whole of ice-free season. The nights are light and the Sea is cold in springtime and much more warmer from July to September. The Sea is also rather shallow. There is no tide, but hard winds are making the seawater to rise or lower depending of the wind direction. However you have to pay attention to hard storms that usually take place in the autumn season.
