We are a family living in Hirvensalo, Turku. At the moment we have four Basset Hound bitches, and I have placed one male on breeding terms.

A long-cherised dream was fulfilled when we got our first Basset Hound in 2001. Öhkömönkijän Huushollerska, or as we call her, Justiina, won our hearts and conquered our sofa, and I knew then that Basset Hound is truly my breed.

Justiina has had two litters and in 2005 we were joined by another Basset Hound, EUJW-06 ESTW-07 FIN&LV&EST CH Basstrick’s Care Me, or ”Kerttu.” Of Kerttu’s 2007 litter I kept a black bitch "Gita" ESTJW-08 FI CH Basbuddy Chiquita Gita. From the same litter I placed a tricolour male "Simo" FI CH Basbuddy Cix-Pack Simon – on breeding terms with my friend Anu Laaksonen-Klemola in Paimio. "Hillevi" Basbuddy Dolcevita Rita of Kerttu's second litter, joined us in 2009.

Our Bassets live as part of our family and thus mine is a small-scale kennel, producing one litter a year, at most.

My goal as a breeder is to bring up healthy, with excellent temperaments, nicely built and well-moving Basset Hounds.

I have signed the Finnish Kennel Club’s Breeder Commitment and completed both basic and advanced breeder courses.

I would like to thank my friend Teija Valkama (kennel Basstrick’s), who has bred my beautiful bitch Kerttu, and who has given me support as well as good advice in the beginning of my breeder career.
