This website presents my Triumph Spitfire 4 and the adventures of it in
Nordic Historic Racing events
BackgroundThis Spitfire 4, manufactured in '64, landed on Finnish roads first time in '66. It has had about 10 owners during its first 10 years in Finland. I bought it in '80 as an on-going restoration project and got it on road for summer '82. In the beginning of 90's it gradually started to transform to a race car by the influence of the first historic racing activities, which were taking place here then. Now It's been raced in the Finnish historic racing series continuously since '93. Please read more from the Race Report pages. About myselfI was born in the same year as my Spitfire -1964- and I live together with my spouse Lea and Borzoi dog Heimo in the city of Lahti, located in southern Finland. If you want to see some parts of it at the moment, you can use a webcam. If you know nothing about Finland and want some boring information of it, the CIA can provide it to you. |
To earn my living I work as a business unit director in a company manufacturing emergency lighting systems for buildings and cruise ships. Historic Racing in FinlandThe Finnish Historic Racing Series is organized by the club "Historic Race Finland" where I am also the vice chairman of the board. Currently I work also as a chairman for the Historic Working Group of the Finnish ASN AKK-Motorsport. In addition to these I'm also involved in the Scandinavian Historic Masters -series as a Finnish contact person. My car runs in the Historic TC/GTS, period F (pre-'66) class F/D (up to 1300cc). |
