My relationship with a guitar When I was 16, I had a vision to become a guitarist. My father bought me a copy of Fender Sratocaster. At the same time Ile (our drummer) got Iron Maiden`s note/tab book as a x-mas present. I practised a lot and nowadays I can play a little more complicated songs. At some point I got involved in drums. Knowledge in possibilities of drumming has greatly helped me in composing. Nowadays, I spend more time with post-production, especially mixing and mastering. My taste of music is metal oriented. To my favourite bands belong Carcass, Testament, Bruce Dickinson, Pantera and Rammstein, for example. On the right mood I also listen to jazz (Allan Holsworth, Tribal Tech) and proge (Rush, Yes, Dream Theater). Equipment: Schecter Hellraiser, custom guitar (Versoul neck, Warmoth body, EMG), Mesa/Boogie Mark III head and 4x12 cabinets, T.C.Electronic G-Major. |

I have been playing drums over fifteen years now. I started playing piano at the age of 7, picked up an electric guitar at age of 14, slowly drifted into the world of drumming at the age of 15 or 16 while Ignis Fatuus was being formed, and got involved into the world classical music about the age of 17. I could pretty much say that nowadays most of my spare time goes by playing all kinds of music in variety of forms. Pretty pathetic, huh? Other activities and interests in life (besides music) include estimation theory, motorcycles, reading, jogging, movies, writing long emails, space-time coding, anime, science fiction, Rogue-like games, all sorts of concerts, PhD studies, and white chocolate. Did I forget something? Guess so... Equipment: Pearl BLX drums and hardware, Zildjian, Istambul, and Sabian symbals, Ludwig and Premier snares, Roland D-50, JX-10, and JD-800, Kawai K5000S synthesizers, Versoul and Steinberger guitars and Carvin LB70 bass. Not endosed by anyone but paying every cent myself! |

I started playing the violin at a very young age, I also played some classical guitar until I was about 12 years old. Then I got my first Kramer electric guitar and a Marshall amp. At those times we formed the metal band Convicted and started playing more and more progressive music as we gathered some playing skills. Those days I listened, apart from some classical music, Metallica, Slayer, Sepultura, Death, Cynic, Atheist, Pestilence, Vai, some to mention. Later I started listening much more Jazz and Jazzfusion oriented music á la Holdsworth, Mike Stern, Scott Henderson, Corea etc. Nowadays I am listening mostly progressive metal/rock such as Dream Theater and Rush and all kinds of bands from several different fields of music. I still play with the drummer of the band Convicted in a band called Imagery and have occasionally some pop/rock-oriented projects as well. At the moment I play customized ESP MH-301, Mesa/Boogie Triaxis, Mesa/Boogie Simul-Class 2:90, Mesa/Boogie 2x12 halfback cabinet, and T.C.Electronic G-Major. |

I started my musical career with violin and cello, but I wasn't that interested in classical music, so I got my first guitar at age of 10. I started playing bass when I was 22. When I was younger I listened to lots of Iron Maiden, Deep Purple and AC/DC kind of hardrock and metal stuff. Lately I've been listening to more death/power/black metal, like Opeth, Diablo, Slayer and Sinergy. Back in the days my big brother had all the Rush & Dream Theater records, so I was forced to like proge stuff, too, and that was the most inspiring stuff to try to play along. I can't really name just one favourite band nowadays, however if I had to pick one, it would probably be Ayreon (not really a band but a dutch guy, not very "heavy" music either). I also play bass in rock cover band called Ronski Beat. Currently I use Yamaha TRB-1005, Ibanez SR-915 and Fender Jazz basses, warwick strings, EBS Fafner amp and EBS 1x15 + 2x10 cab. |
