Faun's World - results

Usually I'm a modest guy who doesn't want to boast with results. However, Mum insists I must share with you the highligts of my career, so here you are.

I don't go to many shows yearly, since I used to do lure coursing, too.But when I do get to a show, I want to make a good impression to all the beautiful girls ;). I've been thanked for my great muscles, elegant neck, deep chest, good angulations, free movements and shiny coat. One nearly blushes here...

Lately I have also had the honour to present my offspring in progeny class. Those are the moments that I'm most proud of. I also have to thank all the active owners of my puppies: their success placed me fourth on the Stud Dog of the Year list in Sweden, 2006.

Well, I think you can say that I don't go to many lure coursing events yearly since I also do dog shows. Personally I prefer lure coursing, since there I get do what I enjoy the most: run fast!

Despite the results listed below, I have also been no 3 in the Lure Courser of the Year -list (both Finnish Saluki Club and Finnish Sighthound Club) in 2000. One can only wonder what the listing could have been without a toe injury that ended that season. In 2001 I was the best saluki in Pirkanmaa region's Sightound Club's Beautiful Runner -competition, where dogs get points from success in shows and lure coursing/track racing.

2005 was the last year when I got to compete, since the licence ends when you turn 8 years (or in the end of that season, to be precise). I was able to try for the foreign CACIL once in this season, didn't quite get it, but neverheless finished the day as brand new Estonian Lure Coursing Champion, being the first saluki ever. Not a bad way to finish a career, leaving the licence book with clear results and no disqualifications. According to the Finnish Sighthound Club's listing, I am also 7th best Lure Coursing Saluki out of all the Finnish salukis born in 1997 (only the Finnish events counted). Mum became ever so proud :) Thank you all the judges, running partners and friends!!!

PS - no, I haven't quite given up on running, whenever a nice saluki girl asks me to have a training with her, I'd be glad to show her some saluki power ;)
