"Rico"

I started to get interested in Border Collies because my Australian Kelpie Cindy paid so much attention to all bc`s she saw. She seemed somehow to admire them and we started with my boyfriend Jussi to concider if we should get us one of those wonders :) We both were very impressed bcs`drive and way to work tirelessly for their owners.

 

Cindy is the first dog I have actively trained dogsports. Our main sport is agility, which we have been training with Cindy right from the beginning. In agility we have been competing several years in highest class (III) and we also have earned the right to compete in Finnish Championships. Apart from agility we have not been very active. Few times we have taken part in dogshows and trained some obedience just for fun.

 

 

With Rico we have planned to get to know better some dogsports and hobbies we are not yet so familiar with. We are interested in hearding, obedience and perhaps also some working dog sports. We will see. Nevertheless, our main hobby will, without the doubt, still be agility.

 

So far Rico has proved to be everything I have expected. He is very self confident and brave, which makes it easy for him to adapt in new situations and places. His ability to learn new things just keeps amazing me. He is very open and wants to make friends with everybody he meets, both people and dogs.
