Visse's height was 51 cm. She liked to "talk" a lot. She didn't bark, it was some kind of a mixture of yelping and muttering. She loved all kind of a sticks and she could have fetch those for hours. She had A hips, 0-0 elbows (both best possible), clear eyes and she got 163 points from a character test. She also passed approvingly the behavior test (BH). Visse was a very versatile dog. Visse was the first border collie in Finland who had three different champion titles! Now there is five of those, Visse, her daughter Tekla, her son Zorro and two other bitches from different kennels.

Visse was a Finnish Show Champion (FIN MVA) and an International Show Champion (KANS MVA). Every time (in Finland you can have only 3 certificates) she got a certificate, she was also the Best of Breed!

Agility was absolutely Visse's favorite hobby. She could do that with anyone, anywhere and anytime! The only problem was to get her away from the course. When our practice was over, I had to carry her away from there, even as eleven years old, really obedience champion... She loved weaving poles more than life! When we had weaving poles in our yard, she stood, sat, laid and even slept between weaving poles. And if no-one went with her, she went through those weaving poles herself...

(ASB is an agility magazine in Finland that publish agility ranking list from over 900 best competitors every month. There are mini, midi and maxi dogs mixed.)

In 1997 it became possible to achieve a Finnish Agility Champion title. The dog has to win the III class three times with no faults and there has to be at least one year and one day between the first and last winnings. Visse had these results already, so she became a Finnish Agility Champion in 1997 (FIN AVA). Visse was the very first agility champion Border Collie in Finland!

In obedience Visse was a Finnish Obedience Champion (FIN TVA).

In search and rescue from ruins she passed the suitability, the basic and the final tests just in few months in 1994.

In a message dog trial Visse had a VK1 title, which means that she has gained more than 75 % of maximum points in the message dog trial part and 70 % of maximum points in the obedience part. We were in a message dog trial only once, in 1997.

She also passed a suitability test in a water rescue test in 1995. That's the second best hobby, if you had asked Visse's opinion. She loved swimming almost as much as agility. I didn't even have to throw anything to water, she just liked to swim around and around and around...

Visse was one of the fastest flyball dogs in Finland. We won "many" races in flyball (in Finland there is maybe one race a year...). That is also a hobby she loved a lot.

In search and rescue from woods and tracking she passed the basic tests in 1994.

Visse did an unofficial herding test in 1994.

Visse had seven puppies. There are two Working Trial Champions, three Obedience Champions, four Show Champions and three Agility Champions in this litter. Besides those Champions one is missing one winning before getting an agility champion title! All seven puppies has also healthy hips, eyes, elbows and knees! Visse has already 54 grandchildren.

I was just a beginner when I got Visse. With anyone who would have known more about training Border Collies, Visse would have been a World Champion in any dog hobby! But I was lucky to get her, she gave me so much pleasure over the years and she taught me at least as much as I taught her!
