DECATHLETE'S LITTLE THEKLA
"Thekla"
Thekla is owned by Louisa Wibroe, they are living in Denmark. Thekla's main hobby will be agility, but they have also trained some obedience right from the beginning. Louisa has earlier managed extremely well in agility with a bordercollie Xinnie.
Right after Thekla's first birthday, she won an obedience competition with 177 points out of 180 and got a title LP1! Couple of months later she got 186 points out of 220 in class II and a title LP2. Unfortunately she got 0 in one exercise, but the other exercises were 5 x 10 and 4 x 9,5 points!Soon after that they got 190 points out of 220, one exercise 0 and all the other exercises full 10! In class III Thekla missed sitting, but almost everything else were full 10 points and their got their first leg to obedience champion title with 272 points out of 280! Couple of weeks later, they got two first prizes in one weekend and the Danish Obedience Champion title (DK LPCH) came with top points 271/280 :) Just couple weeks later Thekla won an obedience competition with the highest points given in Denmark this year, 277 points out of 280! She qualified straight to the Danish Championships in 2005.
Thekla and Louisa took part to the Obedience dog of the year 2005 in Denmark. They won the final competition with 270 points out of 280! In total they came second with 1065,5 points, missing only 0,5 points to the winner. Thekla and Louisa took part only to six competitions out of ten possible. In 2007 Thekla became an Elit Champion (DK ELCH).
In 2007 Thekla got to the class III in agility and jumping.
Here is something Louisa has told about Thekla: "As I'm writhing this Thekla is one year old. She's 49-50 cm and 17 kg. She's a family dog but she's also going to be a top agility dog.
Thekla is so happy and funny and sweet and clever and beautiful. In total harmony. She loves everybody also children and all other dogs and cats! She's got the sweetest temper and a very fine "dog languish". And she's such a gentle dog. She has the ability to make friends with everybody including children who's afraid of dogs, and dogs that have had bad experience with other dogs. Often she ends up playing with them in a way the owner/mother have never seen before.
We practice obedience using the clicker method, with great success and has just started agility. Thekla is always ready to work. She's very concentrated and always trying to do her very best to please me. She also loves to play of course, but the minute I tell her to stop (also when she's playing really wild and having great fun with my children) she accepts it, stops and calms down immediately.
Thekla has been once in a dog show, judge wrote:
"Good size bitch, very well balanced, very good coat, good bone. Strong top-line, good croup and tailset, angulation is very good, good reach of neck, very alert, head is broard, perhaps a little masculine, strong muzzle, moves well, but a little fond of tail."
"little fond of tail" = her tail is always straight up when she runs by my side! She's just so happy ;-)Thekla is simply the most perfect dog I could ever dream of. I'm so proud of her, just for being as she is... Thank you so much for bringing her into my life. :-)"
