6.12.2008 Grand old lady Tekla (Decathlete's Black Velvet) and Janita tooked great third spot in standard agilitycompetition in Riihimäki with nice clear run. Right in their tale in fourth position were Haka (Decathlete's Le Livre Blanc) and Veijo Koistinen also with nice and smooth faultless run.
Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti won day´s another standard agilitycompetitions of 75 participants. This was win number 30 for Zen during this year. In addition to this she has won seven courses in various championships, for example WC-2008 jumping, so she has been just in phenomenal form through this season. Zen has had the winning percentage of nearly 95% when she has made clear round. Second place in this competition went with great clear run for Omie (Decathlete's Galaxy) and Elina Jänesniemi. Awesome work!
6.12.2008 Sky (Decathlete's Skyknight) and Mikko Aaltonen were victorious in class-II standard agilitycompetition with fantastic clear round. So smooth and fast run as you can expect from this super-pair!
30.11. Omie (Decathlete's Galaxy) and Elina Jänesniemi started competing in highest class of agilty with great performance and managed to make fast clear round in jumping class competition held in Helsinki! Great work!
22.11.2008 Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti got SILVER MEDAL from individual Nordic Agility Championships! Finnish team: Niinu & Rhett, Sari & Iiro, Jouni & Yoko and Jaakko & Zen won GOLD in team competition! In individual competition Zen got unfortunate and in our mind a bit controversial uppercontact fault from dogwalk, which dropped this flying pair to silver although they had 7,5 seconds faster time in overall results compared to winner... Huge thanks for numerous congratulations we have received from our friends!!
21.11.2008 Agilitycompetitions in Hamar, Norja. Jumping and standard International agilitycompetition. All Nordic Team members from all Nordic countries were taking part in these competitions held a day before actual Nordic Championships. In jumping competition Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti made clear round and tooked second place. Clear round also for Hitti (Decathlete's Hornet) and Janita who came fifth in this high level competition.
In International standard class competition Zen won and got CACIAG and CERT and with those the NORWEGIAN AGILITYCHAMPION -title for Zen & Jaakko. Zen also earned title NORDIC AGILITY CHAMPION! Fine clear round also for Hitti and Janita in this day´s second course.
16.11.2008 Omie (Decathlete's Galaxy) and Jaakko Suoknuuti were victorious in class-II agilitycompetition with fastest round and so Omie got the right to compete in highest class-III. Elina really has trained Omie to be extremely skillful agilitydog, who´s performances are always delightful to watch... Thank you Elina for giving Jaakko the opportunity to compete with Omie. Good luck for class-III both of you! :)

15.11.2008 Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti made yet another pure hat trick by winning three standard agilitycompetitions in a row at the same day with fastest rounds in every competition, pretty phenomenal! Janita´s back hasn´t heeled yet so Jaakko competed also with Hitti (Decathlete's Hornet), placing third in first competition, and with Tekla (Decathlete's Black Velvet) managing to make clear round in third competition. Huge congratulations super pair for awesome runs! The quotation from Mario Andretti really suits you: "If you think you have things under control, you're not going fast enough."
8.11.2008 Haka (Decathlete's Le Livre Blanc) and Tiina Koistinen made two back to back clear rounds at the same day, which is one condition that has to be fulfilled to be able to participate Finnish Championships and World Team Qualifications! In standard course they came second and in jumping their placement was third. Way to go Tiina & Haka!
2.11.2008 Rico (Decathlete's Comet) and Heidi Karanko won agility competitions in class I with a clear round! Congratulations Heidi and Rico!
25.10.2008 Haka (Decathlete's Le Livre Blanc) and Tiina Koistinen won class-III agilitycompetitions in Turku. This great win also means, that Haka is now FINNISH AGILITYCHAMPION! Huge, huge congratulations for awesome work Tiina and Haka! Great run and phenomenal result!
Second place in this competition went for Hitti (Decathlete's Hornet) and Janita. Boy, it was fantastic to be able to compete again with Hitti after over three months of recovering from bad inflammation caused by stick that pearced her neck. I think Hitti is even happier than us when all restrictions are now behind her and she is allowed to live normal life. Our performance was still a bit rusty, but nevertheless it really was fun. In third place were Hugo (Never Stop Artist of Decathlete's) and Janita, and in fifth place Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) and Janita both ofcourse with clear rounds. Cosmo and Janita have both suffered a bit of back problems so Cosmo couldn´t take part in day´s second competition. Cosmo is now forced to take it easy for the rest of the year and try to rehabilitate his pelvis area and we are hoping he will be able to make comeback sometime in the beginning of next year.
Jumping course was won by Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti.
25.10.2008 Yra (Decathlete's Golden Snitch) and Susann Finnerman-Olin got result Excellent with great score of 272 points in class-III obedience trials and earned the right to compete in highest class-IV. Well done Sussi and Yra!

18.10.2008 Sky (Decathlete's Skyknight) and Mikko Aaltonen started over competing after a break and won both jumping and standard class agilitycompetions with fastest rounds in class-I. Congratulations for great doublewin :)
13.10.2008 Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Janita continued their winning streak by winning two legged International agilitycompetition with great clear rounds in jumping and standard courses. This earned Zen the INTERNATIONAL AGILITYCHAMPION -title! After the standard course Zen was already leading the competition with huge margin of over three seconds :o Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) and Janita were in second place. Tekla (Decathlete's Black Velvet) and Elina Jänesniemi were in third spot a second behind Cosmo. In jumping there was reversed starting order so Cosmo started to jumping just before Zen and made clear round and tooked the lead. Now only Zen could take the win from Cosmo and for a moment I considered if the title should go to Cosmo, because he is already over nine years old and it´s starting to be last chances for him to become an International Champion. Even so I decided to make sportsmanlike act and let the faith decide and just do my best also with Zen and so it turned out that we made a clear round and won the combined results and CACIAG with over five seconds margin to Cosmo who got reserv-CACIAG. Also Hugo (Never Stop Artist of Decathlete's) and Elina Jänesniemi run faultless run in jumping course. Thank you Elina for handling Tekla and Hugo for me. I had bad backpain and it was a real struggle even to handle two dogs not to mention four so without you Tekla and Hugo wouldn´t have had chance to compete at all. Nevertheless I had just wonderfull and fun weekend. Perhaps I should organize more weekend action for Jaakko so he doesn´t have time to compete with Zen and then I can "help" him by handling his dog... :D

12.10.2008 Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Janita managed to make awesome pure hat-trick by winning three agilitycompetitions in a row with fastest rounds in a same day! There were approx. 50 competitors in every start. Thank you Jaakko for letting me handle Zen :) Agility doesn´t get much better when you get to handle lightning fast, well trained agilitydog who goes full speed from start to finish without any hesitation. It really is "handling on the edge" :) Zen also got together her results needed to participate for next years Championships and World Team Qualifications.
Also Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) and Janita made three clear rounds. Sadly the trauma he got from last years collision with Yoko has been slightly bothering him since and his speed has not been quite what he is capable of, so his placements were 5., 6. and 8. Competing with Cosmo is starting to be more and more just activation for him, when his condition allowes. He also has now the right to participate next years Championships and Qualifications.
Ninja (Decathlete's Firebolt) and Julianne Kemppainen ran two fine clear rounds taking 3. and 5. place. Congratulations for making the "double-zero" result needed to earn the right to compete in Finnish Championships. Your runs looked exctremely well balanced and controlled, just keep up the great work!
Hugo (Never Stop Artist of Decathlete's) and Niina-Liina Linna snatched the fourth position in days last competition with clear round. Days second competition was as near perfection as it´s humanly possible until Hugo fell off from seesaw... Awesome run until that unfortunate incident, WOW! Hugo also has his results for Championships and Qualifications in the bag.
4.10.2008 Sky (Decathlete's Skyknight) and Mari Kaplas got result Excellent in class-III obedience trials, eventhough send to square earned them no points. So the rest of the trial was great. Congrats for making it to highest class-IV!
28.9.2008 Chess (Decathlete's Sagitta) and Mette Sørensen won the highest class obedience trials in Denmark with result Excellent! This was their first result out of three needed for their Obedience Champion -title. Huge congrarulations Mette and Chess!
26.-28.9.2008 Agility FCI World Championship in Helsinki.
In team jumping Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti managed to make clear round with second fastest time. In team standard course one fault with fourth fastest round.
In individual jumping we were fastest and therefore we won the jumping course of FCI World Championships with fastest round! In individual standard course we (another video from final round) were heading towards World Champion -title until five obstacles from the end, the disaster, Zen took the wrong course due my mistake and so we were disqualified :( The disappointment was just overwhelming. Zen is just PHENOMENAL dog and she really would have deserved to succeed. One tenth of a second and our dream was shattered...
Thanks for great support to our own team (LAW) greatest team mates of the world! Many thanks also to all our friends and acquaintances and to all of you in the audience for making these World Championships something to remember for us and were supporting us also after disq when we needed it most... Your hugs, comforting e-mails and textmessages really mean world for us and are helping us in our try to restore our belief to future, thank you! As the greatest resource of inspiration, supporter, trainer, coach, therapist and the person who has made experiencing of all these wonderful moments possible, the greatest thanks goes of course to Janita. Without you nothing of our achievements have not been possible and we have never got so close to fullfilling our Dream. Can´t even tell you how important asset you are for us... thank you!

First win went for Grim (Tekla´s granddaughter) and Anja. Ludde (Lunde til Decathlete's) and Jaakko Knuutti placed third also with a clear round.
Grim (Tekla´s granddaughter) and Anja were victorious also in day´s second competition. Jaakko Knuutti took rest of the podium places by placing second with Vimma (Decathlete's Fidelius Charm) and third with Ludde (Lunde til Decathlete's). Quite a day for both of you! Five podium places out of six possible for our club; LAW! Nice work!

14.9.2008 Erre (Decathlete's Raptor) and Heidi-Maria Puolakka finally broke their "one fault" -curse by winning class-I agilitycompetition with awesome clear round! Superb!
13.9.2008 Jeeves (Decathlete's Nighthawk) and Vappu Alatalo scored 190 points out of 200 in class-II obedience trial and got the right to compete in class-III! Congratulations for great work :)

In second competition two first places for Janita. First place and second win for Champion -title went for Hitti (Decathlete's Hornet). Hugo (Never Stop Artist of Decathlete's) snatched second place.
11.9.2008 Old Gentleman Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) turned 9-years.
7.9.2008 Hitti (Decathlete's Hornet) and Janita won class-III agilitycompetition and got their first leg to became an Agility Champion :) After beeing two months at sick leave Hitti was allowed to compete again and what a great feeling it was to get to go agility with our little Hippa-Leena! Hitti got somehow tiny sticks in her saliva gland during our wisit in Danmark last summer and had to be operated. Now, at last, she seems to be better and bad inflammation she got starts to ease. Sometimes you wonder how much bad luck there can be in one dogs life? Poor little Hitti has been at sick leave 8 months during her short lifetime :( and despite all this she is the happiest and sweetest little girl one can ever imagine!
This competition second place went to Hugo (Never Stop Artist of Decathlete's) and Niina-Liina Linna. Great run Niinu! Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) and Janita were third, so all podium placings came for home team :)

6.9.2008 Jaakko Knuutti managed to make two clear rounds in standard agilitycompetition, with both Ludde (Lunde til Decathlete's), and Vimma (Decathlete's Fidelius Charm). Ludde took third place and Vimma was fourth. Great work all of you!

31.8.2008 Omie (Decathlete's Galaxy) and Elina Jänesniemi climbed on highest place on the podium by winning class-I agilitycompetitions! Huge congratulations for faultless and speedy course!
31.8.2008 Three agilitycompetitions in Vantaa. From nine possible podium places in class-III large category seven were taken by our club LAW :) In addition to that Noora and Bono, also from our club, were victorious in two small category competitons!
Grim (Tekla´s granddaughter) and Anja won the first competition, awesome round! In this course clear rounds also for Hugo (Never Stop Artist of Decathlete's) and Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) with Janita, with placings of third and sixth.
Second round was won by Jaakko Knuutti with Vimma (Decathlete's Fidelius Charm). Jaakko also took the second place with Ludde (Lunde til Decathlete's)! What a great performance with both of your dogs! Janita and Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) took the third spot. Cosmo suffered a leg injury and started limping after the course, so his day was over. Fortunately the injury proved not to be anything serious.
Jumping course was won by Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti. Hugo (Never Stop Artist of Decathlete's) and Janita took the second place. These two were the only clear rounds in whole class in this pretty tricky course.

5.8.2008 Vinka (Decathlete's Starfighter) and Anne Juslin got their first Excellent in highest class of obedience. This also was their first result out of three needed to become OB CH! The rest is easy. Now when the dog has been properly trained all you need to learn is how to throw a dumbbell... :) Magnificent work from both of you!

19.7.2008 Omie (Decathlete's Galaxy) and Elina Jänesniemi got their last result needed to became a FINNISH OBEDIENCE CHAMPION! Omie is only 16 months old, so quite a phenomenal achievement! The achievement is even more spectacular due to the fact, that Omie is the first dog Elina has trained obedience with :o You really are Simply The Best!
19.7.2008 Snoopy (Decathlete's Carpe Diem) and Sari Niemi continued their water rescue season with near perfect performance of 99 points out of 100 and won the highest class trials! Congratulations for undoubtedly one of the best pairs in the sport!

6-12.7.2008 Dania Cup in Denmark. Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti got two jumpers Certicates and one Certificate from standard class. In large category there were over 100 participants from over 10 countries in every competition (for example from Germany, Holland, Switzerland, GB and USA. The level of competition was extremely high. One tiny mistake and you could forget hopes to make it in top five. Despite this, finns were throughout the week a common sight on the podium :) Congratulations all around for making great runs!!
6.7.2008 Ninja (Decathlete's Firebolt) and Julianne Kemppainen won Finnish Youth Open Agility Championships! You really show what you got in every major event :) Huge congratulations for the Champions!
5.7.2008 Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) and Janita claimed victory in jumping class competition held in Sweden out of 70 competitors. Cosmo also got the sertificat, which was his third jumping certificate from Sweden and therefore he also earned title SWEDISH JUMPERS CHAMPION, S AGCH (jumping)! Tekla (Decathlete's Black Velvet) and Janita tooked second place in the same competition.
5.7.2008 Hitti (Decathlete's Hornet) and Janita took second place in international standard agility competition in Sweden and got Swedish Agility Certificate and also Reserve Caciag! This means, that if Hitti will ever earn her Agility Champions title here in Finland she will at the same time became a Swedish Agility Champion :) She is just amazing. Almost straight from six months training brake she is able to do this kind of results. She really got the talent! Congratulations for Anja and Grim, who won the standard course!
3.7.2008 Hitti (Decathlete's Hornet) and Janita won two class-II agilitycompetitions and got the right to compete next in highest class-III :) Well, we are way ahead our schedule, because Hitti really isn´t ready for tough class-III courses, but on the other hand it´s easier for us to have all our dogs in same class... We will see how it goes.
2.7.2008 Hitti (Decathlete's Hornet) and Janita made most likely some kind of world record by making their way in agility class II in one hour and fifteen minutes at the same day Hitti was allowed to start competing. Three class-I starts with clear rounds in each and every one and place in class-II was ensured. :) We also took part in our first class-II competition, which we also managed to win with a clear round. She really is a superpuppy!
21.6.2008 Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti were again victorious in agilitycompetitions held in Turku, Tekla (Decathlete's Black Velvet) and Jenni Lehtinen came in second place and Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) took third spot in the podium with Janita out of 60 pairs. Thanks to Jenni for handling Tekla :) In day´s second competition Cosmo and Janita were in second place and Zen took the third place with Jaakko out of 61 dogs.
20.6.2008 Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti won agilitycompetitions in Turku (60 participants). Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) and Janita TOOK SILVER IN FINNISH AGILITY CHAMPIONSHIPS! Cosmo and Janita were in fifth place after jumping course, but awesome performance in final agilitycourse earned them phenomenal second place! Congratulations also for Juha Orenius and Ninja who took bronze!
Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti led the competition by a huge margin of a second after jumping course to a second place holders Jaakko K. and Vimma. So sisters had two top placings after the first round. Sadly narrow contact fault on a dogwalk dropped this whole competitions fastest pair from taking the victory. Hopefully it will be Zen´s turn in years to come...
14.6.2008 Our team LAW WON FINNISH AGILITYTEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS in large category! Over seven second timedifference to team that took silver was almost something unheard-of! Team members of our superteam were: Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti, Rhett (Tending Chimera) and Niina-Liina Linna, Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) and Janita Leinonen and Vimma (Decathlete's Fidelius Charm) and Jaakko Knuutti. 12.6.2008 Omie - The Great (Decathlete's Galaxy) and Elina Jänesniemi made awesome result with 296 / 320 points in class-IV obediece trials. First leg towards Champion title earned with dog which is just 15 months old, WOW :-0 Judge was very tight and made participants really work for every point... You really are something! Huge congratulations once again for dazzling performance. Your work in obedience ring is really worth seeing!!

28.5.2008 Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti won two agilitycompetitions in a row. You seem to be almost impossible to beat when you manage to make clear round :-0 In day´s first competition all podium places went to my own breeding, when Juju (Decathlete's Gryffindor) and Veijo Koistinen were second (still missing the last leg for Agility Champion title thanks for his sister Zen...) and Tekla (Decathlete's Black Velvet) and Janita took the third position. Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) and Janita were fourth. Tekla made clear round also in day´s second competition placing fourth. Quite a phenomenal achievemets from "steel granny" who still makes life hard for younger dogs in agilitycourses although she is nearly eleven years old and totally deaf :-0

11.5.2008 Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti continued their winning streak by winning two agility competitions. Zen and Jaakko have won six last competitions they have taken part in! Just amazing couple :-0 Sadly Hugo (Never Stop Artist of Decathlete's) didn't get his Agility Champion -title because of Zen. Hugo and Janita came second in the other course, but in Finland the certificate doesn't go to the next "not champion". Here only the winner will have certificate no matter if it is champion or not. So once again Hugo didn´t get his last leg for the champion title due to our own dogs :( Family is the the worst... And the best :)

In the first competition Hugo (Never Stop Artist of Decathlete's) and Niina-Liina Linna took third place. In second agilitycourse were Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) and Janita second and Tekla (Decathlete's Black Velvet) took fifth place with Janita. In last competition "hometeam" took over the whole podium, when second position went to Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) and Janita and Tekla (Decathlete's Black Velvet) and Janita were took third place :)

It´s always very emotional for me to see Ludde doing great in agility, because it was so close she wouldn´t be able to do agility ever again due to the her awful accident little over a year ago. Niina-Liina Linna and Hugo (Never Stop Artist of Decathlete's) came seventh in the same competition. 61 pairs took part. Jumping course was won by Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti, Janita and Cosmo were second and Tekla (Decathlete's Black Velvet) with Janita took fifth position out of 57 participants. Jaakko took part also in two medium class competitions with kromfohrländer Chili winning both with clear rounds :) Special thanks for Jasmina for leasing her lightning fast agilitydog!

15.2.2008 More sad news from Jeeves (Decathlete's Nighthawk). He has diagnosed to have elbow dysplasia. We are so sorry for both of you Vappu and "little man" J :( Too much bad luck for this litter :(
14.2.2008 We have been running from one specialist to another for past two months, due to a fact, that Hitti (Decathlete's Hornet) doesn´t walk purely in my mind. It suffered some kind of injury when playing with another dog, when taking a walk in forest. After that I have had a feeling everything just isn´t right with her. Three doctors and a physiotherapist has been examining her. X-rays has been taken from toes to tip of her tail and those have been evaluated even more doctors, but nobody hasn´t find anything wrong with her. Few weeks ago she got shot to her shoulder against inflammation and orders not to strain her for two weeks. After two weeks we were told to strain her properly and see if she started to limp. First agility training session was enough. Hitti wasn´t walking properly anymore. Today I insisted, that her shoulder has to be operated, although her x-rays showed nothing to be clearly wrong. When operated finally the reason she was limping was found. Upper string of her left bicep was torn off. She is so wonderful, she must have been in lot of pain, but still she has been her own happy herself all the time. So agility isn´t necessarily dangerous, sometimes playing with other dogs and going for a walk can do the damage... The string was cut by the doctor due to the chronic inflammation and now it´s fifty-fifty situation, either she gets all well or perhaps her agilitydays are over and obedience is all she can actively do. No she can only get out to take short walks in leash until mid April.

12.1.2008 Agilitycompetitions in Åland. Cosmo (Tending Magic Mind) and Janita won the first competition held in agilitycourse. In our class were 76 participants. In second competition with 75 pairs taking part Janita and Cosmo claimed third place. Zen (Decathlete's Sirius Black) and Jaakko Suoknuuti were second in days third agilitycompetition among 77 competitors. In jumping course we decided to have some fun (that is what this sport should be all about, right?) with some agilityfriends by deciding by lot who competes with whitch dog. The draw was organized so, that everybody got a dog to compete with, they had never handled before. Competition organizers seemed to be not too happy when we informed that there had been some minor changes in starting list :) Extra thanks for them beeing so patient with us! Actual competition went amazingly well considering the circumstanses. Here are our results among 74 pairs:

Great handlers got excellent after excellent with their phenomenal canine partners! Lace (Hugo´s offspring) and Kari Raittila got highest points (195) in novice class.
