"Ludde"
Ludde came to as by chance, in summer 2002. Our neighbours were going to see puppies in Lunde, Norway. We went with them to help if they would have needed any help with language. One bitch (which looked very much like Tekla...) was still available and we just couldn't leave her there. So we got Ludde, a bitch with a very strong instinct to herd.
Ludde's brother "Ozo" is living in our neighbourhood. Ludde's whole pedigree is full of pure working dogs. As her 1-year birthday, Ludde won an obedience competition with the first prize and now she is competing in class III.
In June 2003 Jaakko Knuutti happened to call us. He had just lost his 5-year old sheltie Simba tragically. Jaakko and Simba were in Fa innish Agility team 2002 and they came 3rd in Finnish Championships and 4th in Nordic Championships. Just couple of weeks before Jaakko lost Simba, they were succesfully winning several agilitycompetitions. Earlier Jaakko has competed with a sheltie Ceci and belgium shepard Eddie, those both were in the highest class in agility.
Jaakko have always liked border collies and wanted to try that breed. After calling many places, he and his wife Armi decided to take Ludde for couple of weeks to see how things goes on. Ludde moved to Helsinki on the 30th of June. Ludde adapted right away and she charmed the whole family. When all the healthy was checked and eyes (ok as a puppy and 2003), hips (A-A), elbows (0-0), knees (0-0) and shoulders (0-0) were perfect, Jaakko decided to buy Ludde. They started their co-operation with agility training and swimming journeys. Ludde's competition career in agility started in November 2003 and in June 2004 they got to the class III by winning all the competitions they got a clear round! In 2004 Ludde got a title PM1, they won an area competitions in Helsinki. It means they were allowed to take part to Finnish Championships in 2005. Ludde got a Finnish Agility Champion title in August 2005, right away she was allowed to take the last winning.
