"Dave"

Dave, (53 cm / 19 kg) was just everything we had beforehand heard and hoped him to be. Open and friendly toward both other dogs (including our male Hugo we had with us and who ran around Daves territory) and people. And so wonderfully quiet! While other dogs were barking at us when we showed up Dave just wacked his tale and let us pet him :) At herding he was just phenomenal, so intense. He obeyed every order fast as lightning beeing at the same time really cool and working with great accuracy. When it was others turn to heard Dave watched others at work and was just supercool. Dave has earned title GK VALLH PR with highes score of the day. 27 dogs were at the same trial from which only 6 passed the test.

One quality we hope our males to possess is that their sexual drive is not at very high level. When visiting Dave with Zen in heat he first tried if he could go herding and after he came to a conclusion we weren´t there in that purpose he started to play with Zen :) We do not like very much males that are more intrested of females or sniffing the ground  than keeping contact and working with their handler. So also in that sence Dave was just perfect.

We tested Dave with several various ways. He was not afraid of shooting. The owner of Dave, Mickis, teached him to jump the obstacle, while he was never performed a jump. He cleared the obstacle without any kind of problems. Not once did he go under nor touched the bar and had very good relaxed jumpstyle. We also throwed toy over the jump and still Dave easily and calmly cleared the bar with great accuracy and without hesitation. During first year of his live Dave had never even seen any toys and still when we played with him he had great fighting drive and prey instinct. He had no command to let go of the toy so it took a while to get him to give up the toy :)  Dave is just adorable happy fellow full of life!

Dave´s father, Glen, is 2005 European Champion in herding and was third in World Trial. Dave´s mother, Tootsie, is dutch herding dog. Both of the parents have A-hips.
