Kaikki pennut yhtä lukuun ottamatta ovat löytäneet uudet kotinsa. Bey Marillionin muutto toiselle mantereelle kasvatuskäyttöön peruuntui ja Jätkä on nyt siis yhä kotona. Siitä on kasvamassa valtava jöllikkä ja on kyllä oikea halinalle! Kiiraa se pitää keinoemonaan ja käy imemässä sen tissejä; aluksi koira oli hyvin hämmentynyt ajatuksesta, mutta nyt sitä ei tunnu se enää haittaavan.

All, exept for one, the kittens have found their new homes. Bey Marillion was planned to go to another continent for breeding but that did not work out. So "Jätkä" is still at home. He's groing to be a VERY big male and is a real Care Bear! He thinks Kiira is his new mother and goes to suck her; at first the dog was confused about the idea, but now she does not seem to mind anymore.

Pennut ovat luovutusikäisiä ja ensimmäinen lähti jo uuteen kotiinsa. Veeti nimen saanut pojankoltiainen oli suosikkini ja sen lähtö suretti hieman. Mutta onneksi nämä muut pitävät kyllä huolen, etten jää sitä suremaan. Talo on täynnä vilinää ja MIKÄÄN ei enää tunnu pidättelevän niitä; kaikki tutkitaan, revitään ja leikitään ja jokapaikkaan PITÄÄ päästä! Van-lapset; minkä niille tekisi: ne ovat kuin lauma terrierin pentuja varustettuna apinamaisella kiipeilytaidolla! On ne kyllä ihaniakin; aamulla ja töistä tultuani minua tervehditään vaativilla miu-äänillä ja hurjalla kehräyksellä! Voiko kasvattaja enää muuta vaatiakaan!?

The kittens are ready to move out and one of them left two days ago. This young boy, nicknamed as Veeti, was my favourite and I was a bit sad to let him go. But fortunately the other kittens did not let me to be sad for long. The house is full of life and NOTHING seemd to hold them back; everything is investigated, riped and played with and they get EVERYWHERE! Van-kittens; what can you do: they are like a herd of terriers with climbing skills from a monkey! But they are lovely; every morning and when I come from work they welcome me with mjau:s and purrs. Can a breeder ask for more!?

Pennut täyttävät 8 vk. Aika on kulunut niin nopeasti niiden kanssa, että rekisteröinti meinasi myöhästyä ja rokotuksien aloitus viivähtikin nyt 1-2 viikolla.. No, nyt on asiat taas hoidossa.
    Pennut ovat kasvaneet ja kehittyneet valtavasti. Muru on nyt muutaman viikon toiminut lapsenpiikana niille nukkuen ja leikkien niiden kanssa ja pesten niitä. Ja Bessi seuraa tyytyväisenä sivummalta. Olen myös muutaman kerran vienyt koiran niiden luokse ja yllättävän hyvin ovat siihen suhtautuneet; eivät juokse pakoon, vaan jopa menevät lähemmäs sihisemään ja sylkemään paheksuvasti. Ja koiraparka pelkää niitä!

The kittens will be  8 weeks old tomorrow. The time has gone so fast with them that I almost forgot to sent their registration papers in time. And the vaccinations are starting a bit late.. Well, it's taken care of now.
    The kittens have grown and developed a lot. Muru has been "babysitting" them every day now for about two weeks. She sleeps and plays with them and licks them and Bessi seems happy about her helper. I have also taken my dog to meet the kittens for two times now. They have taken it surprisingly well; they don't run away, but even go closer to hiss and spit at her. And my poor doggy is afraid of them!

Bessin pennut täyttävät 3 vk  huomenna, tai siis ensiyönä. Kaikilla on silmät jo auki ja kovasti ihmetellään maailmaa. Bessi hoitaa lapsiaan jälleen erittäin hyvin; koira pannaan ruotuunsa säännöllisin väliajoin, vaikka verkko estääkin sen pääsyn keittiöstä olohuoneeseen, missä Bessin lastenhuone sijaitsee. Muru ja Luna käyvät päivittäin kurkkimassa pentulaatikolla ja sihahtavat pennuille; eivät vielä oikein taida ymmärtää niiden palleroiden päälle..

Bessis kittens are 3 weeks old tomorrow, or tonight to be exact. They have all opened their eyes and are looking around curiosly. Bessi takes good care of them again ; she reminds the dog of it's place regularly thow there is a net-gate by the entrance from the kitchen to the livingroom, where Bessis nursery room is. Luna and Muru goes to take a peek at the kittens every day and hiss at them; I  guess they don't yet understand what they are..

Kröhöm.... Nämä päiväkirjat ei oo koskaan olleet vahvin puoleni. Olen pitkin kesää kuullut jo hyvin suoria vihjauksia siskoltani, että päiväkirja kaipaisi päivityksiä..
    Kesä ja syksy uudessa kodissa on sujunut hyvin, vaikka keskeneräiseksi on jäänytkin; suurimmaksi osaksi oman saamattomuuteni takia. Mutta tytöt ovat sopeutuneet uuteen kotiin hyvin. Koirankin läsnäoloon on jo sikäli totuttu, että se saa tulla ihan lähelle, ennen kuin sihinä ja räppiminen alkaa. Murusta Luna ei pidä; rasisti! Bessi taas suhtautuu pikkuneitiin viileästi, mutta hyväksyvästi; jo et häiritse minua, en minäkään sinua. Eli Bessi ja Luna asuvat olohuonetta ja keittiötä ja Muru makuuhuonetta.
    Ja vihdoinkin on pentujakin taas luvassa!! Bessin kanssa mennään taas pitkästä aikaa näyttelyyn viimeistä CACIB;ia metsästämään. Ja jälleen Ruotsista, jonne Bessi jää edellisen sulhonsa pojan luokse heilastelemaan. Ja toivon mukaan ensivuoden alussa syntyvät Bessin toiset pennut.

The summer and autumn has gone well in my new home. It is still not ready; due to my lazyness.. But the girls are at home here now. They are accepting the dog allthow they still do not want her too close. Luna does not like Muru, but Bessi is cool and kind to her. So Luna and Bessi live in my livingroom and kitchen and Muru in my bedroom.
    And finally I'm planning kittens again!! I'm taking Bessi to a show in Sweden again to try to get her last CACIB. And once again, she will stay there; this time to the son of her first lover. And hopefully the kittens will be born early next year.

Alkukesä meni remontti- ja työkiireissä, nyt alkaa viimein talo olla asuttavassa kunnossa, vaikka joitakin yksityiskohtia vielä puuttuukin, kuten sauna ja lattialämmitys pesutiloista.. Ronja on muutosta alkaen ollut evakossa äidilläni, sillä dieettinsä takia se on öisin pidettävä eri huoneessa ja sen yösijaksi suunniteltu saunakamari on vielä alkutekijöissään.
     Bessin ja Lunan kesä on alkanut jännittävissä merkeissä ja niiden sopeutumiskyky onkin nyt melkoisella koetuksella. Touko-kesäkuun vaihteessa hain kotiin koiranpennun; Mellakan Ciran, eli Kiiran. Tämä harmaa saksanpaimenkoiranarttu ei ole saanut kovin lämmintä tervetulotoivotusta, mutta vähitellen kissat ovat alkaneet hyväksyä sen olemassaolon ja uskaltautuvat kulkemaan huoneessa sen läsnäollessakin.
     Ja sitten kissakatras kasvoi vielä yhdellä kissalla; pari päivää sitten toin kotiin 5-kuisen Bombay-tytön, Genuina Afroditen, joka sai "kotinimekseen" Muru. Alkujärkytyksen jälkeen se on jo alkanut rohkeasti tutustua uuteen kotiinsa ja ystäviinsä. Bessi ja Luna eivät tietenkään pidä siitä ja sihisevät sille. Ja koiraa tämä musta neito ei pelkää; Kiiran lähestyessä se nostaa karvat ja hännän pystyyn ja selkä köyryssä murisee, sihisee ja lopulta antaa "viisipiikkistään", jos varoitus ei mene perille. Ja koira väistää! Muru ei ole omani, vaan minulla sijoituksessa ruotsalaiselta kasvattajalta, Elisabeth Thorsilta. Eli, jos jotakuta kiinnostaa hyvin hellä, seurallinen ja leikkisä pieni "mustapantteri", ota yhteyttä!

Early summer went in the heat of the renovation and work, but now the house is finally readyer to live in. There is still some details undone, like the sauna and the floorheating in the bathroom. Ronja is still living with my mother since I don't have enough separate rooms yet to keep her at night. She's in a diet so she needs to be kept separated when I'm not at home.
    Bessi and Luna has had  a very exiting summer. First there came a puppy; I brought home a grey, German shepard bitch, Mellakan Cira: Kiira. Kiira did not get a very warm welcomes but sloly the cats started to accept her presence.
    And then came a new cat. Few days ago I brought home 5 months old Bombay-girl, Genuina Afrodite: Muru. After the first shock she has already started to get to know her new home and friends. Bessi and Luna do not like her, ofcourse, and they hiss at her. But this black lady is not afraid of the dog; when Kiira goes to her she tryes to look as big as possible and hits her if she does not take the "hint" and goes too close. And the dog will leave! Muru is given to me by a swedish breeder Elisabeth Thors, who will make kittens with her before she will be mine. So, I'f  anyone is interested of a very affectioned, playfull and lovely small, black "panther", let me know!

Päiväkirjan päivitys takkuilee; tietokone ja nettiyhteydet kyllä toimivat.. Nyt asutaan sitten lasten kanssa kamalan kaaoksen keskellä.. Muutin pari päivää sitten ostamaani rintamamiestaloon, jossa remontti jäi pahasti kesken muuttopäivän koittaessa. Asuttavassa kunnossa on tällä hetkellä vain makuuhuone; taloon ei tule vettä, keittiössä ei ole kaapistot valmiina ja pesutiloistakin on vielä kaakelointi kesken.
    Lunan kanssa on oltu parissa näyttelyssä kevään aikana. Turusta saatiin kotiin kaksi ex1-tulosta, Vantaalta ex1 ja eilen Tampereelta ex1. Vantaalla Luna hävisi VP:ssä veljelleen Ahabeylle, josta on kasvanut todella komea nuorukainen ja Tampereella Lene Glem valitsi Inkeri Siltalan kasvattaman tyttöpennun VP:ssä Lunan ohi. Huomion arvoinen tuo Lenen valinta, että HARVOIN tuomarit valitsevat punaisia korvia kantavan vanin valkokorvaisen ohi; pentu vain oli tyypiltään Lunaa parempi.

I'm having some problems with my diary; my computer and the net is working but... Now, I'm living with my cats surrounded by chaos.. Few days ago I moved into a house I bought and the renovation is still unfinished. Only the bedroom is suitable for living; there is now water coming into the house, the kitchen is not ready and my bathroom is still waiting for the floor.
    I've been in cat shows with Luna during the spring for few times. From Turku we took home two ex1-results, from Vantaa she got ex1 and yesterday from Tampere one more. In Vantaa Luna lost the BIV for her brother Ahabey who has grown to be a very handsome youngman and in Tampere Lene Glem chose a femalekitten bred by Inkeri Siltala over Luna in choosing BIV. I must say that was a good thing since the van with red ears RARELY win a van with white ears; but the kitten had a better type than Luna.

Eilen oli vuorossa Jyväskylän näyttely. Valitettavasti Lunan oli jäätävä kotiin, kun se on yhä toipumassa mystisestä ihottumastaan ja tulehduksesta, johon sai myös antibioottikuurin. Joten olimme siskoni kanssa paikalla vain hänen bengalinsa, Zakun, kanssa. Sillä kertaa Zaku sai jälleen ex1:sen ja oli TP. Minä kannoin sen paneeliin, jossa sai vielä yhden pisteen.

Yesterday there was a show in Jyväskylä. Unfortunately Luna had to stay home since she is still recovering from a mysterious rash and an infection she got antibiotics for. So I was there with my sister just with her bengal, Zaku. This time Zaku got ex1 and was NOMINATED again. I carried him to the panel where he got one vote.

Eräänä iltana tuli telkkarista ohjelma hillereistä ja se oli Lunan mielestä HYVIN mielenkiintoinen!

On one evening there was a program about ferrets in the telly and Luna tought it was VERY interesting!

Eilen oltiin näyttelyssä Lahdessa. Luna sai ex1;en. Se oli hieman peloissaan koko päivän, eikä tykännyt yhtään tuomarin käsittelystä, vaan mahanalus oli täynnä jalkoja. Sainkin kehotuksen treenata sitä enemmän näyttelyihin. Täytynee alkaa kuskata neitiä kylään, kun ei täällä niin usein vieraita käy..
     Siskoni bengali oli mukana Lahdessa toisessa näyttelyssään ja tulos oli ex1, VP ja TP!!! Paneelissa sai vielä yhden pisteen. Tosi hienosti nuoriherra näyttelyssä käyttäytyi ja mm. ennen paneelia makoili riippukeinussaan jalat levällään sukukalleuksiaan tuuletellen! Siinä olisi Lunalle mallia, miten otetaan näyttelyssä rennosti..
    Pari viikkoa sitten minulla oli ystävältä koira lainassa totuttamassa kissoja "koirien tavoille". Tai lähinnä se tuli Lunan takia, kun Ronja ja Bessi ovat kyllä koiria jo ennenkin nähneet. Aluksi Luna pelkäsikin koiraa ja sähisi sille, mutta seuraavana päivänä se jo kyllästyi vain istumaan kiipeilypuussaan koiraa paossa ja alkoi vähitellen hiipparoida ympäriinsä koiran nukkuessa sohvalla. Viikon kuluttua Luna kulki jo normaalisti ja sähisi vain, kun koira tuli liian lähelle. Yrittipä koira kutsua Lunaa mukaansa leikkiinkin. Kiitos vain Tialle Peppin lainaamisesta!

Yesterday we where in a show in Lahti. Luna got ex1. She was a bit nervous the whole day and did not like the judges handling at all; she had a hundred legs! I was told by the judge to train her more for the shows. I guess I have to start taking her with me to places since I don't get a lot of visitors here..
    My sister had her bengal there in his second show. He got ex1, was best of variety and was nominated!!! In the panel he got one vote. That young male behaved very well in the show and before the panel he relaxed in his cage with legs wide open! His a good example for Luna of how to relax in a show..
    Two weeks ago I borrowed a dog from my friend to teach the cats how to live with dogs. Mostly I took it for Luna since Ronja and Bessi have met dogs before. First Luna was really afraid about the dog but the next day she got tired of hiding on the climbing tree and started to move about when the dog lay on the sofa. After a week Luna moved around normally and hissed at the dog only when it got too close to her. The dog even tried to play with her.

Turun kissanäyttely tuli ja meni ja olen hyvin tyytyväinen pentujen menestykseen siellä. Lauantaina 22.11 oli Luna ex1 ja Aydin ex2. Kumpikin sai paljon kehuja. Luna oli arka kiemurteli pöydällä ja sylissä, mutta Aydin istui ylväänä tuomarin edessä ja katseli uteliaana ympärilleen. Sunnuntaina 23.11 oli pojista Acayip ex2 ja uuden omistajan mukana tullut Ahabey ex1, Luna oli ex1 ja voitti sitten vielä veljensä Värin Parhaana. Bessikin oli paikalla siitosluokassa, jossa oli 4. Sunnuntai oli siitäkin erikoinen päivä, että meillä oli 3 sukupolvea paikalla; pentujen ja Bessin isäksi myös Bessin äiti Mandela's Insallah, joiden kanssa onnistuttiin samaan kuvaankin pienen kikkailun kanssa tietysti.
    Nyt kotona on vain Luna, jonka oli tarkoituskin jäädä. Hyvin on muut pennut maailmalle saatu ja olen ollut iloinen kuullessani hyviä uutisia niiltä silloin tällöin. Mm. Acayip on kuulemma istunut vuotavan hanan alla ja mennyt sitten märkänä isäntäväen syliin kuivaamaan itseään ja Aydin on uinut kuin Vanin kuuluukin kylpyammetta päästä päähän! Ja Luna istuu pitkiäkin aikoja keittiössä hanan alla vettä kalastelemassa, kun jätän hanat tiputtelemaan. Ja kuullessani pentu-uutisia muilta kasvattajilta minuakin alkaa vaivata pentukuume, mutta yritän nyt hillitä itseni; ensivuonna keskityn näyttelyihin.
    Niin ja pakkohan on mainita vielä, että Ahabey oli myös Järvenpään Voittajanäyttelyssä 13.-14.12, jossa oli Tuomarin Paras Pentu!!!!

The cat show in Tuku came and went by and I'm very happy with the results. On Saturday 22.11 Luna got ex1 and Aydin ex2. Both got a lot of compliments. Luna was quite shy and didn't stay still at the table or in hands but Aydin sat proudly in front of the judge and looked around. On Sunday 23.11 the boy Acayip got ex2 when Ahabey, who came with his new owner, got ex1. Luna got ex1 too and beat her brothers beeing the Best of Variety. Bessi was in the breeding class and was 4. That sunday was a very special day since there was 3 generations in the show; the kittens, Bessi and Bessis mother Mandela's Insallah. We even managed to get into a picture with all of them with a little struggle.
    Now there is only Luna left at home and she was planned to stay. I'm happy to say I got new homes to the other kittens easilly and am happy to hear aout them once in a while. For eample Acayip has been sitting under a leaking tap and when wet, went on the lap of the owners to dry himself up. And like a real Van, Aydin has been swimming in a bathtub! And Luna can spent a lot of time sitting in the kitchen fishing for water dropping from the tab. And when I hear news about kittens from other breaders I start having "kitten-feever" again, but I try to control myself; I'm going to focus in cat shows next year.
    And I have to mention that Ahabey was in a Winner-show in Järvenpää 13.-14 of December and was nominated!!!!

Osa pennuista on ollut uusissa kodeissaan jo kohta kaksi viikkoa ja toiset kaksi lähtevät tänäviikonloppuna. Sinisilmäinen Ahabey muutti Valkeakoskelle ja kirjava Abla Turkuun, toivon onnea ja iloisia hetkiä molemmille perheille. Tyttö Aydin ja poika Acayip lähtevät Turun kissanäyttelyn kautta uusiin koteihinsa pääkaupunkiseudulle. Jännittää viedä ekat pennut näyttelyyn ja nähdä, mitä mieltä tuomarit niistä ovat.
    Viimeviikolla ystävä kävi kylässä koiran kanssa. Ja reaktio oli "lentävä"; valkoiset, sihisevät salamat sinkoilivat sinne tänne. Sohvan taakse, kiipesi puoliväliin verhoja ja tuolin selkänojalle. Kyllä ne muutaman tunnin kuluttua olivat jo rauhallisempia, mutta lähelle ei koiraa siltikään vielä haluttu; karmea, haiseva peto.. 

Some of the kittens have been in their new homes for almost two weeks now and soon the other two will leave too. The blue eyed Ahabey and the colourfull Abla was picked up by their families and I wish all the best and a lot of joyfull moments to both families. The girl Aydin  and the boy Acayip are leaving after the cat show in Turku this weekend. I am very exited to take my first kittens to a show and hear what the judges think about them.
    Last weekend my friend visited me with one of her dogs. And the reaction was fast; the white, hissing lightnings flew everywhere. Behind the sofa, half way up the curtains and on the tv-chair. In a few hours they where calmer but they still did not whant the dog to come too close; the horrible, smelling beast..

Apua! Kotimme on vallannut viisi pientä riiviötä!! Ja välillä tuntuu, että riiviöitä onkin kuusi, kun äiti juokse ja painii joukon jatkona! Meno on todella hurjaa, eikä pieniltä kolhuiltakaan aina vältytä. Pentujen persoonallisuudet ovat nyt tulleet kunnolla esiin ja niissä on eroja! Abla on villi tyttö, joka yrittää monesti karata oven välistä ja kiivetä joka paikkaan. Aydin on myös melkoinen apina, jolle ei aina tahdo ruoka maistua, kun on niin paljon muita bisneksiä. Ahabey tykkää kannella leluja ja oikein hyvän lelun saadessaan se murisee sille ja muille pennuille. Acayip on joukon porsas, jolle ruoka maistuu, aina! Ja Alaluna on se pieni herkkä tyttö, joka yksin taikka pulaan joutuessaan naukuu surkealla, kimeällä äänellä apua.
    Ensimmäinen rokotuskäynti sujui hyvin. Mitä nyt matkalla vuorotellen maukuivat ja muutamalla suunpielet hieman kuplivat. Mutta hyvin urheita olivat eläinlääkärin käsittelyssä. Ja kohtahan mennään sitten taas uudestaan.

Help! Our home is invaded by five little gremlins!! And sometimes it feels like there are even six of them, when their mother runs and plays with them! The going is really wild and some little accidents happens from time to time. The personalities of the kittens can be seen now and there are differences! Abla is a wild girl who likes to run trough the crack of the door and climbs everywhere. Aydin is also like a little monkey, who sometimes does not eat her food because there are just more inportant bisnesses to take care of. Ahabey likes to carry his toys in his mouth and when hi's got a very good toy to play with he growls at it and to the other kittens. Acayip is the piggy, who likes to eat, always! And Alaluna is the small sensitive girl who cryes out for help if she's in trouble or left alone.
    The first visit to veterinarian went well. Althow they took turns in singing and some had little bubbles coming out from their mouths.But they where very brave in the vets hands. And soon we are going there again.

Pennut ovat nyt seitsemänviikkoisia ja vauhti sen kun yltyy! Pennut pääsevät nyt päivittäin viettämään myös aikaa olohuoneessamme totutellen muihin kissoihin ja "pölypallo-koiraan". Ne alkavat olla jo melkoisen hankalia hallita; joka paikkaan pitää kiivetä ja kaikkea pitää purra taikka raapia! Ne ovat nyt saaneet jo toisen matokuurinsa ja ensiviikolla mennään eläinlääkäriin ensimmäisille rokotuksille. Saapas nähdä kuinka se sujuu!

The kittens are seven weeks old now and the living is getting wilder! They get to spend time in our living room every day now so they would get used to the other cats and the "dustball-dog". They are getting difficult to manage with; they have to climb everywhere and they have to chew or scratch everything! They have got their second de-worming now and next week I'm taking them to the vet for their first vaccinations. Interesting to see how that goes!

Pennut ovat kaksiviikkoisia ja kaikilla on silmät jo auennut. Pentulaatikolla on jo pientä säpinääkin välillä, kun pennut tutustuvat oman ruumiinsa lisäksi toisiinsa ja aloittelevat ensimmäisiä leikkejä. Bessikin malttaa viettää aikaansa jo poissa niiden luota ja on saanut takaisin leikkimieltään. Pennut ovat nyt saaneet viralliset nimensä, jotka laitan nyt kuvien yhteyteen.

The kittens are two weeks old now and all of them have opened their eyes. Theres some activity at the box now whn the kittens are getting to know their own bodies and each others and try to play a bit too. Bessi spending time outside the box now too and is getting ack her playfulness. I have the official names to the kittens now and I will put them with the pictures now.
