About Me

On 1. of July 1979 a miracle happened; I was born! I grew up in a city of Turku ( in Southeast-Finland )and after secondary school I went to Middle-Finland to study in an Agricultural College. Since then I've been studying horse-, traveling- and gamekeeper-proffessions and travelled around Finland and a bit around the world too. At the moment I work as an agricultural worker (I take care of different farm animals ) and live with my three cats in a town called Pöytyä. Pöytyä is about an hour drive away from Turku.

Thrue the years I've always been fond of horses and my biggest dream still is to get my own horse ( I guess I didn't get enough of them when I was a young girl ;)). I allso have some artistic talents that I use in drawing and writing poems and short stories.

I started going to the cat shows with my old housecat Ronja, but didn't do that more than twice. I got my first real show cat just by luck; I was looking for a pet cat but ended up getting my first show cat; a Turkish van.

I took Bessi to cat shows first just to try how it goes but after some good results I wanted to do it more. After Bessi got her Champion-titel I started to think about getting kittens to her. On December 2007 I sent the breeders papers to my cat club and in January 2008 it was official; I have a cattery name, ARTVAN! And if someone don't know by now where the name comes from I'll tell you; from the english word "art" and the end of the breed "van".
