Panther M100 restoration...           Link to the sidecar restoration pages

Photo from Emsworth England as purchased in 1992

The bike was fitted with aluminium mudguards, so the correct ones were purchased separately.  Also toolboxes were missing.

In Finland the bike was stripped down, fixed and painted.

The tank needed full checking. The bottom was opened, and the tank was cleaned. There was quite a lot pit corrosion, so Petseal was used for internal finishing.

The chromed side panels of the tank were also badly corroded, so they were painted silver for the time being.

I was making some tests with the shock absorber covers to spray the pitted base metal with copper or zink.

New camshaft bearings were  fitted, as well as new valves and guides. Also new piston was purchased from hte club in UK.

New rims and spokes were also purchased.

And at last the assembly taking place...

Here testing the brand new workbench  ...

From Reg in Fishbourne I still managed to get another tank, which is not as corroded as my first one. This tank shall be repaired and chromed in the near future to have the original look backfor the M100.
