Sailing close to Sydney 2005.

Doha 2005. In Qatar they are using this type of boats for fishing ? And it seems to be highly respected vessel as there are many of them in harbour next to new Yachts and one is in the center on display in the middle of the roundabout.
Unfortunately i don't know the story of the boat and the type.

Tampere 2006. Our newest boat with the skipper. Her working name was "Bosun". I made the bed from Khaya. And she seems to like it a lot.

In the harbour was laying the mighty Cambria.
Magnificient boat.

It is funny how with 40-80 travel days a year, mostly one day, person can find only so mutch time to get used to the hobbies. Like wooden boats. Now i had a luxury to stay over weekend in Seattle US. So i visitted Center of Wooden boats and Port Townsend.  Where first one is doing important work with young people and later is truly a place for wooden boaters to visit. Even in winter like now.

Center of wooden boats.
Below are boats that center uses for young sailors to learn how to sail a small boat. Young people seemed to practise also boat maintenance related tasks in this place.

Port Townsend 2007
I hope the owners of these lovely boats approve the images in the web pages. Please let me know if not.
The port of Townsend is lovely small town in west of Seattle.
While i was in Seattle i searched web for Classic marine suppliers. and found a small shop in this place.
Visit was positive surprice. The selection of traditinal equipment in the shelfs was good and the people in the city, yards and harbour were friendly. Here some images of the lovely boats seen there.
I actually ran out of battery of my camera. There would have being a lot more to take photos of than i got now.
