My third Castello, a smooth "Trade Mark"
![]() The smooth Zulu "Trade Mark" |
If one is lucky he may get a Castello as present. In December 1998 Tapio was visiting us in Hämeenlinna. After roast mutton and some excellent Fuller&Marston ales we exchanged presents. As Tapio knew my interest in Castellos and he happened to own one estate Castello which was smoking quite hot, he was ready to depart from it and donated it to me. The bowl walls are rather thin and as good as all the cake has been removed. This may be the reason for the hot puffs. At least I hope so. |
![]() Brindle stemmed Trade Mark |
The stem of this Dublin/Zulu is of Brindle type. That is, it is multicoloured with beautiful shades of brown. The logo on stem is of "Diamond" type, which means this pipe is meant for the U.S. market, whereas Castellos meant for domestic trade have the "white bar" mark. |
