MTK Dump 0.1 beta

"Small" command line tool for memory dumping from MT13x9 based DVD player. Currently it does mem dumps from RISC RAM, DRAM, IDATA, XDATA and so on. I have succesfully dumped at least full 8MB dram to binary file. Sources included for console app and my special Mediatek com functions..

Serial Interface

You need connect serial interface to inside of your player. This serial connector looks similar what the Red arrow is pointing in a picture bellow. Connector have 4 pins what are marked as V+,TX,RX,GND. You get more pictures of it by clickin this one =)

Here are some schematics for the Serial Interface. Be noticed that this design is not the Only one or even easiest to build, but it is quite stable to use.

It is just same kind of interface as mobile phone data cable.. So if you're not talented enough to make your own serial interface, just buy some old cheap data cable and cut of the phone connector. Here is some Connector Pinouts =)
