Pidin kovasti myös Foxysta ja hänen pentuesisaristaan (Khaos Hell of a Lady, Khaos the Lady is a Tramp, Khaos a Lady’s Choice etc), joten päätin ottaa pennun. Gunilla oli valinnut minulle pennun ja Lilla Stockholm-näyttelyn jälkeen, pääkallokelillä “luistelimme” Örebrohon hakemaan pentua. Videoimme Gunillan Khandhu koiria ja niiden jälkeläisiä. Eniten kuitenkin ihastuin Gunillan vanhaan narttuun Nord Ch Jildirim Aint Misbehavin (Illusion do Vale Negro/Jildirim Mojo Hannah). Hän oli uskomattoman kaunis ja lisäksi valloittava luonne.

Pienen Sarah’n kanssa lensimme takaisin Suomeen. Löysin pennulle hyvän sijoituskodin. Kingsleah Ellen Betrix eli Sarah ei ole viihtynyt näyttelyissä. Se on sääli sillä hänellä on erittäin kauniit liikkeet. Onneksi hän on periyttänyt liikkeitään jälkeläisilleen. Sarah on luonteeltaan ujo vieraiden ihmisten parissa, mutta tuttujen kanssa hän on kujeileva, hellä ja leikkisä. Sarahin ollessa luonani hän aina yllätti minut hakiessaan minua leikkimään kanssaan ulkona ollessamme. Leikkiesssään hän oli ehdottomasti parhaimmillaan. Sarahin omistajat Marjo, Heidi ja Pirjo Toivio ovat auttaneet minua usean pentueen hoidossa. Niin eläinrakkaita ja tunnollisia pennunhoitajia minulla ei ole sen jälkeen ollut. Kiitos siitä heille. Pirjo Toivio on lahjakas taiteilija. Hänen afgaani-piirroksiaan tulee myöhemmin kotisivuilleni.

It was year 1987 when kennel Kingsleah in Sweden imported a beautiful Aust ch Khandhu Smoke Screen. Her first year in Swedish dog shows ended as the best Afghan of the year. When visiting Finland in Turku international dog show she was BOB. I did fancy her and after a couple a years reserved a bitch puppy after her. Smokey had false pregnancy and the breeder Gunilla Holmgren offered me a puppy from the present litter in Kingsleah kennel. The mother in that litter was S Ch Khaos a Foxy Lady of Kingsleah. I did like that bitch and also her littermates (eg. Khaos a Hell of a Lady, Khaos a Lady’s Choice, Khaos the Lady is the Tramp). So I decided to take a puppy.

Gunilla had chosen me the puppy and one very slippery icy december day we went to Örebro to get the puppy. We video taped Gunilla’s Khandhu afghans and their descendants. But most of all I was charmed by Gunilla’s veteran bitch Nord Ch Jildirim Aint Misbehavin (Illusion do Vale Negro/Jildirim Mojo Hannah). She was one of the most beautiful bitches I ever seen and also very charming person. With a tiny Sarah in “hand bag“ we flew back to Finland. I found a good home for Sarah.

Kingsleah Ellen Betrix never got familiar with the dog shows. That was pity because she owned very beutiful movements. Fortunately her descendants have herited the talent to move. Sarah is shy when surrounded by the strangers but with her own folks she is gentle and playfull and plays tricks. The owners of Sarah: Marjo, Heidi ja Pirjo Toivio have assisted me many times with my bitches’ deliveries and have taken care of my puppies and grown ups when I have been away.

I want to thank the most reliable care that my puppies have got. Pirjo Toivio is a very talented artist. Her Afghan drawings will appear later on my home pages.
